Hello! This is a long-time favorite mod of mine, but it no longer works; is there any chance to get an update?

I'm still working on my games. I don't have time to check all the mods. 10 years in SE modding is a long time after all. I maintain mods for the communities I'm in. Or if someone directly contacts me and I have free time, I will update it immediately, like the last updates for NPC mod with Aliens. After you've been making mods for 10 years, then you can try to slander someone, like Jogy. By the way, reports about mod reuploads are mostly made by people I know. I do according to my free time.

Mod creator sadly not talented enough to deliver a clean and functional mod. do not use.

@guardian1368 I made fixed version of this mod, put his name in the description, tried to contact him and he still filed DMCA complaint without even trying to talk. People like him are cancer of modding community.

is this mod going to be updated and fixed or is anyone going to take this mod over and if it is either can you lower the volume of the thrusters i know he said don't republish his mods but it has been over a year without a update just wondering

Been having an issue where their output thrust is enough to stop near INSTANTLY when left to do their own thing with inertial dampners, but the moment i try to manually go in certain directions, I suddenly the engines don't have enough thrust capacity (despite they clearly have stopping power).

Example, Built a small fighter, had 4 thrusters on the bottom just to inch worm up rather than fall out of the sky when I hit the space bar. If I had 3? pressing space would make me descend. Letting fo of space? instantly come to a halt, hovering perfectly.

If I'm falling out of the sky at max speed, those same thrusters that can barely inch upwards when I press space bar are enough to cartoon physics come to a halt mid air in less than 4 seconds when dampners are on.

I LOVE these things, but that one issue has been annoying. Is this a bug or an intended feature?

Only problem I have with this mod is that lately, when Im in a pressurized cockpit my sound of the gamebreaks. I can only hear the humming of the engines constantly and it overpowers the rest of the games sound. Could changing the sound settings to arcade fix this?

@papmobile42 or you could just do that yourself by modifying the mod. most people prefer "overpowered" thrusters for artistic license, than for anything else.

These thrusters are super good and handy, but they are also so OP and very unbalanced. They make vanilla thrusters completely pointless.

Just set power consumption and needed components to the same as their vanilla counterparts. Also set thrust output lower (say 70%, they're smaller after all) and they'll be perfect

This is reason "reuploading of mods", why dont do more public mods. Only for friends or friend streamers, community mod.
I dont have much time to read all.
Only on discord Im still +-16hours online each day.
But still "Don't republish/edit/reupload my mods !!!!!!".

Sektan is still an active modder.
Has tons of mods, probably takes time to get around to them all to update, and fit into a real life schedule.

Regardless they made it clear they did not want their content republished.
Is a thing called courtesy, not sure if you have heard of that or not.

An example of courtesy:
"Hey I know you may be busy. Would it be okay if I reworked this and uploaded with your permission?"

The AWFUL sound bug ruins this mod, seems like the author has no intention of fixing it, just go use Laser Modular Thrusters by Spacebar instead.

NO enough of that it's a mod it's dead and abandoned if he wanted to keep it he should have kept it up to date the law be damned on that matter this is free content and should always have been considered freeware from the start some one please fix this mod

You did not ask permission of the original author to re upload, whom does NOT allow reuploads as is his legal right to do so.

Looks like no update are coming. I take a look and do the update in the next coming time.

The sound for the thrusters is annoying compared to the vanilla thrusters. However i do like how modular they are.

Do these work in all types of atmosphere like hydrogen? I'm not seeing how they behave.

установил эту модификацию,нажимаю пробел,чтобы лететь вверх,а он летит вниз.работают во се стороны,кроме вниз.так же очень сильно напрягает шум двигателей.очень режет уши и иногда глючит и гудит даже когда стоишь на месте.пришлось удалить мождификацию.

This is NOT broken. I have been using this on many of my builds for years.. Not one time have I ever had an issue with this mod.

Dear DEV, i like to ask your permission to add this drives to my thruster mod for our servers.
People asking for them long time now, si it's time to make them happy, you gave me permission to use your other models before, but still it's important to me to ask, if it's OK. to use this models too.
I will link back here, as should.
I want to update the XMLs to latest game changes for thrusters and correct grouping and do some balance for our server needs.

Yeah this never crashed me either just huge lag bombs at times. Even on a 2080Ti Founders 11GB with a Ryzen 3950x and 64GB DDR4 Ram + 1Gb connection
