Same here and I totally agree! Thanks for this mod!
Far-Seeker 16. mar. kl. 9:21
Was clearing away some mods and scripts I don't need anymore and noticed I still have this. While the vanilla custom turret controllers has made this redundant in the past couple of years, It was a great help for much longer!
KOSi 21. maj 2023 kl. 14:14

GoomDon 11. nov. 2022 kl. 6:11
This worked like a charm, I'm very happy about it.
gerald2 13. juni 2022 kl. 11:58
it gives me an error i cant read whats wrong even cause it just blink in red when i close control panel also " are needed in sensor name ? or it should be just sun sensor /AT[rotor]?
fenlander 26. apr. 2022 kl. 3:16
This works a treat.
Jonas 16. jan. 2021 kl. 11:51
does this work with hinges?
Skallabjorn 4. dec. 2020 kl. 8:26
Confirmed, I have used this for years and it works great
dnjuandmrk 7. okt. 2020 kl. 18:06
It IS a block. Open the G menu and search for it. The thumbnail looks like a solar panel with a tracer on it. It still works. I just built 3 in a survival game yesterday
TMaster1324 24. aug. 2020 kl. 9:11
Sun sensor is not a block, how do I do this?
Bostream 28. mar. 2020 kl. 23:41
Last update broke it, can't build it anymore, can't find it in meny.....
Nekrognito 25. jan. 2020 kl. 13:32
still works :cozyspaceengineersc:
СВЯТОЙ ГАГАРИН 8. jan. 2020 kl. 9:11

Robthedude 3. sep. 2019 kl. 14:03
can this get an update?
it no longer works sadly
Dr Fraud 27. aug. 2019 kl. 14:01
I'm amazed this still works. It's now the oldest mod in my playset by over a year. Brilliant, simple and stable.
Wuchst #mLnW уебище 6. aug. 2019 kl. 22:50
Vertria 7. apr. 2019 kl. 16:24
TL;DR - I love this and thank you for making it in the first place. <3
Vertria 7. apr. 2019 kl. 16:23
That just goes to show you how much foresight you had when you made this. It may be coincidental at best, but it is still an amazing and simple little thing that hasn't been broken for all this time.

And I abuse the utter hell out of this thing, too. I practically cannot survive without this since I practically need at least two of them in my survival worlds. They make things so much easier if you spawn someplace that doesn't have a bunch of nearby ice and/or uranium.
Screaming Angels  [ophavsmand] 6. apr. 2019 kl. 23:57
@Vertria : surprisingly KeenSWH haven't changed the underlying API much during all this time. (which is good and bad. Bad because that means they haven't been innovating much. Good for stability). But now that it's in Beta, there shouldn't be any more breaking changes from the game releases. It should continue to work, unless Keen do something major to how the sun works in game.
Vertria 6. apr. 2019 kl. 21:07
It's amazing how that it still works after nearly two years since its last update...

Lk911 26. mar. 2019 kl. 16:16
very simple and nice mod
Morgan Bateson 15. mar. 2019 kl. 11:19
I was well on my way to code something similar when looking for some details I ran into your fantastic mod. Dropped my code, didn't look back. Amazing stuff. Thanks !
SpyCakes 11. mar. 2019 kl. 14:54
Working with newest version?
Xiraiju Akara 13. dec. 2018 kl. 10:56
anyone else had the torque reset and rip the solar pannels ripped off their station?
geniusthemaster 15. okt. 2018 kl. 12:04
be sure to include the space before the / !
Albus Dumblesnore 1. okt. 2018 kl. 6:01
Works amazing! Beautifully simplistic and works like a charm!
cat respecter 30. sep. 2018 kl. 1:40
Someone should make a solar tracker script that just uses your ingame day length and gps position relative to earth's orbital plane to cause your solar panels to rotate at the same rate..
KomradBjonk 3. juli 2018 kl. 12:34
just sucks that in game it took the entire day to get it
KomradBjonk 3. juli 2018 kl. 12:33
@ Atrophy thanks a ton ive got a sensor on both the solar wings and a sensor on the tower, it works great now thanks
Atophy 14. juni 2018 kl. 18:48
@Engineering Gamer My usual setup is with 3 rotors, each arm having its own sensor though refering to the rotor connecting it to the grid. Worked like a charm last I played. I imagine you could set up one sensor on the wings of your solar rig and have it duplicate the rotations to the other wings rotor. I've never used the 2 rotor support though.
KomradBjonk 14. juni 2018 kl. 13:14
i got it to work for like a second and then it stopped and now I cant get it to work, i have no idea what im doing wrong
KomradBjonk 14. juni 2018 kl. 11:48
you reckon this will work with 3 rotors cause im trying it right now
Snard 16. maj 2018 kl. 6:24
what script are you using? can I get a clean script without having to install a mod
Phoenix 9. maj 2018 kl. 22:02
Can confirm the link is between the rotor and the sensor (It doesn't have to be directly on the solar panel). I have a tower with 2 rotors and armor blocks coming off of the rotors. I put the sun sensor on the armor blocks and they work wonderfully (I've attached about 10 solar panels per rotor.). The sensor HAS to be on a grid attached to the rotor. (Doesn't have to be the exact block that's on the rotor, any block will do.) It will also need to be able to spin the rotor so the sensor faces the sun. (Don't put on an end piece).
Alatar Saidin 25. apr. 2018 kl. 5:09
This worked beautifully with two rotors.
I've previously had mods that used program blocks and timers.
But this was as simple as putting on two rotors, a sensor and just naming them.

Without a doubt, one of my favorites

Thankyou!
Solraven 23. mar. 2018 kl. 2:32
is it just me or did keen break this again?
Kaos Jr. 19. mar. 2018 kl. 19:36
First time Using rotors since i started the Game (I have 400 hours and never used em) and it works like a charm with two rotors
Screaming Angels  [ophavsmand] 5. mar. 2018 kl. 1:16
@CharlatanCad : I've tried a few times with the world you provided, blueprinting the ship several times, and I haven't been able to reproduce the issue. It's an elusive bug
CharlatanCad 2. mar. 2018 kl. 18:10
@screaming Angels also if i take away the names "(ROTOR 1)(ROTOR 2)" from Sun Sensor 2 I can blue print again.
CharlatanCad 2. mar. 2018 kl. 18:02
@Screaming Angels I know you don't have to be spending your time on me with this but thank you for your help. I know I was not using your mod like I should have been or originally designed, but it works I just can't blue print it?
Ill call it. "Rotary Gyroscopic Solar Tracker" lol:steamhappy:
Screaming Angels  [ophavsmand] 2. mar. 2018 kl. 3:14
@CharlatanCad : It's certainly my mod, but I can't tell much more. The log narrows it down to 140 lines of code. I'll need a copy of your world to reproduce the issue and pinpoint it.
CharlatanCad 2. mar. 2018 kl. 0:32
I just linked my dropbox with the file let me know if this helps?
