I personally use the Milk to Cheese mod to do something with all the milk I end up with. Yeast and brewing are items I would love to play with, but again I would hate to put some effort in to make a more advanced mod just to have it broken by an update. There is definitely a need for these, so it is possible I do end up doing something, especially on the yeast side, depending how long it takes for the devs to add these things to the base. Currently looking at an advanced version of this with the cooking mechanic needed to complete the recipes (the tomato ones anyway) and adding some new recipes like lasagna. I may add a simple pasta recipe to this mod as well.I'll definitely consider if there is a simpler way to do yeast/brewing with the rotten food mechanic or something, but there are challenges with that due to how the mechanic for rotten food works.

I've got to ask, do you think you'll ever add cultivating yeast or cheese?

I feel like there may be some brewing mechanic coming up due to hops being a crop, so I would rather wait on vinegar and see if that is covered in an update. I would hate to work out a brewing scheme just to have the work undone in short(ish) order.

Can we make vinegar?

Working on an update to add Marinara and Mayonnaise and require some cooking skill for each recipe. Mayo requires a empty jar and marinara requires a jar and lid. Testing the update now to make sure it all works as expected with alternate ingredients for some items. Should be updated by the weekend.

Should be simple to do mayo. 2 eggs 1 unit vinegar 1 unit salt 3 units of oil maybe. It's all in there already. I'll look at making one when I get the chance.

Considering requiring some cooking skill and making it use a saucepan or pot rather than a bowl. Also may make it take longer since I skipped the cooking part (considering this in a future larger mod) which normally takes a long time IRL. Also, still considering the recipe as a simple one can use just tomatoes, but many also use some citrus in there. Any thoughts on tweaking this guy?
