I had an idea inspired by M&M7, of all things. Maybe the Hospitaller and Grand Crusader both should have something like a weaker Exemplar ability, where they are about buffing allied units as well as their own role?

Seems exceedingly appropriate, they are kinda like the pinnacle of their subcultures, and means they have a use even if not raw damage/defense. Sort of a 'venerated as heroes because they act like them" sort of thing.

I think that is an effective approach for those two for now. It at least means having a minimum of two of them still makes sense even with a hero, even 3 since you have room for another Venerated at that point.

It also may be that just making the Commandery/Grange not so expensive and production-heavy works as well. I think the idea is in the right place, a faction with synergy with Rally is cool, just need to hit the balance right on the building itself.

@Frost If someone wants to make a sub mod allowing all the cosmetics to be used by other cultures then they can do it just as long as non of the rpk files or any of the content from that rpk is included in a custom rpk. (can still use the rpk and its content just can't include it as part of the upload wanted to make this clear)

@KiwiMoonk's Friend Only one unit have this and its part of late tier units mod. I didn't want to make this the undead counter faction, culture does do fire and spirit so it technically have a bonus against them.

@Mirahael The cities were made of various heavily modified bits from the feudal city buildings with alter uv maps and meshes.

@Daverin2112 I want to keep damage on the units low for the time being to see how things work out.

Hospitaller and Grand Crusader i kinda don't know what to do with them as of right now, i could return the HW and SP traits and while keeping Ven that would be unique i guess.

Also, I now REALLY want to encourage beefing up the Hospitaller and Grand Crusader to, like, a T3.5, as it were. They already have some good features, but just a bit closer to T4, so you don't feel like you are wasting your slots on them instead of skipping straight to Mythics.

If I am reading this correctly, this is going to feel much more comfy overall. Not sure on numbers yet, but much less fear of putting the wrong comp together. I DO think you could afford to grant +1 each channel to the SP and HW, since mixed channel is a bit less abusable (Don't quote me on that), but you feel you have a reliable channel mix. Venerated, for now, is proooobably best left as is until we determine otherwise.

I have decided to rework the culture trait as it just wasn't possible to get it balanced it also didn't really make any sense thematically.

The new system is similar but still different with a focus on empowering a Venerated units which in turn give a small amount back to SP and HW units.

This makes more sense thematically after all people worship the big thing or follow the most zealous of people.

The following units are Venerated Leader, Missionary, Grand Crusader, Hospitaller and all Mythic units if Order Initiation is active.

Oh damn, ngl this looks really good and promising as a fully-fledged Culture Mod, especially with the unique City model/look; I am unsure if it's originally-made by you or sourced from an alternative piece but it's nonetheless a nice addition to see that separates it from the other Culture Cities visually speaking!

@criticofthedawn Yeah. I have a lot of mods. I think over 100 so thanks for the info. I found (and it was confirmed by @Von Schnitzel that the Shared Resources mod isn't necessary and it works fine without it. No crashes.

@Grathocke If you have a lot of other mods installed along with this one, you should be aware that the game's graphics engine can become unstable with large numbers of mods installed, even if those mods individually work fine and don't conflict with each other. This seems to be most strongly affected with mods that add a lot of content, and causes issues fastest when cycling through recruitable heroes.

Unfortunately, if that's the problem, the solution appears to be to pick and choose mods less important to your run to disable until the game becomes adequately stable.

Any chance for a replacement of the pantheon helm with the grand crusader's version? Would love to use that on my feudal ruler as well.

Great job! May I recommend calling it Theocratic culture so it fits with the grammar used for the others? After all, it's "Feudal" culture, not "Feudalism."

For some unknown reason, my graphics goes nuts with this mod installed. I do have the shared resources installed as well. Can you point me in a direction to figure out what is causing it? It happens primarily when I recruit heroes.

This actually means there is still some synergy in hyper focusing the opposite of a hero, as you could lean heavily into shield and support, for example, and keep a hero going while they get a very strong damage bonus. Interesting.

Okay, so now I am I definitely see the appeal in the Rally units. A stack of 5 Grand Crusaders and a hero will result in the Crusaders getting a whopping 34 starting damage, in practice, as well as fueling a ridiculously buffed Crusader Strike, and the hero will get _5 from them as well.

The answer to my previous question is, no, there is not. If you have 5 warriors, and 1 protector, said protector will get +5. Also, Venerated units do self-apply.
