hm, good idea with the vehicle whitelist. well, i check my code and test it on my offical servers and i will write to let you know if it works.
I also have a strangeness in the logs where the logged date is completely off. For instance, the logs today look like:
[SagaAC] 2011-12-03 21:28:08 Player connected:.......
I'm guessing it has to do with the time reported by the server itself but I know other mods have tackled this correctly so maybe it's something that can be fixed as well.
At first I thought it might be the server OS itself had the wrong date but then I realized it happens to closely coincide with the configured serverTime value in my config. I run Namalsk which has a default/suggested serverTime as below:
serverTime = "2011/12/1/9/49"; // Namalsk hardcore/lore
So maybe the mod is using the in-game date/time instead of the actual server time?
Anyway, thanks for creating this, I think it's going to be very useful once I finally launch my server lol.
I really appreciate this mod and in my limited testing it appears to work pretty good! I've read through all the comments and wanted to provide my own +1 on two features:
- Ability to have user-defined vehicle classes. I feel bad asking you to add the various vehicle mods I have and it seems like it would be never-ending maintenance for you. If you could make it so the user specifies the list of classes, you're off the hook!
- I like the conciseness of the Discord notifications, but agree that having them a bit more "pretty" would be beneficial. Ugly logs, pretty notifications. User-definable here would be incredible but secondary as well.
Mods need to be installed by server owners, not players. As a player, you only install the mods a server owner has enabled on their server. Hope that makes sense (and sorry if I've misunderstood your replies).

there are definitely some mods where it doesn't work. Yes, I already thought so because I know this mod too.
I can include it in the description, but I'm sure there are still some functions from other mods where my system supposedly detects cheaters. You can disable the teleport function and use the other functions, or it won't work at all. Thank you for your feedback.

Install it like a server side mod. No player can see the mod on your server.

You can observe the behaviour of the alleged ‘cheater’ as soon as an entry appears in the log. There are anomalies in the log. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to locate such players. But I can't write everything here, because the cheat tool developers will try everything to prevent that.
