@Alaric_ Known issue we're investgiating
Alaric_ 26 Oct @ 10:56am
I'm having an issue where this version of the floor menu mod works fine, but the version in Better Architect Menu gives me problems switching between stone types.

I've been up and down through my mod list and have not been successful in finding a conflicting mod. Is there anyone else experiencing this? Maybe some comparison might help find the issue.

There's a bug with the Multi-floor mod that makes it not show any floors when you go up or down.

請問有適用於家具選單的版本嗎?
Is there a version for furniture menus?
Argyuile 2 Sep @ 5:53pm
@ferny I thought it might be some crazy mod conflict because I use so many mods and then I found this totally crazy interaction. It turns out that in order to build carpets you need to have researched carpet making. Insane I know but it's true. After I figured this out it started working fine.
ferny  [author] 2 Sep @ 3:23pm
@Argyuile Yeah mine works fine
Argyuile 2 Sep @ 3:20pm
So I can't seem to make carpet anymore, cloth does not appear as one of the materials, I have every stone imaginable, hay, "Free' flooring, but no way to make carpet, am I missing something?

this is genuinely SO useful to have when running heavily modded playthroughs
so many goddamn floors clogging the tab normally, now completely wrangled
VitaKaninen 29 Aug @ 5:46pm
Use the remove floor button on the right side.
BabySharkGangnamGang 29 Aug @ 5:45pm
Guys how do I remove floors now?
gwytherinn 29 Aug @ 10:55am
I was so excited for this, but it's just not showing up. :( I wonder if it's conflicting with something like RimHUD or the tabs mod?
qux 28 Aug @ 10:42am
What do you think about somehting like this for Furniture Tab ?

If it is not too bothersome, would you consider adding your recommended mods to run along with your mod in the description? I think it could be nice. :reimu4:
VitaKaninen 26 Aug @ 8:24am
I am not sure if it has been discussed or not, but can you make the menu disappear once a button has been selected? Once I select a floor type, the next thing I want to do is start placing it, but the menu is in the way.
Starempire42 25 Aug @ 4:25pm
Pardon the rant but it's a very nice mod, hope there will be more in the future :)
Starempire42 25 Aug @ 4:24pm
@ferny PLEASE DO MAKE IT FOR EVERY ARCHITECT TAB PLEASE!!!! THIS MOD IS A FUCKING GOLDMINE WAITING TO HAPPEN, IT'S A GODSEND!!! RIMWORLD HAS BEEN WAITING FOR A MOD LIKE THIS!!!!
veoba 25 Aug @ 5:57am
Thank you.
Soap 25 Aug @ 5:37am
I know it would be very difficult, please really do keep working on expanding this! One of the best QoL mods I've seen for years
Jerek 24 Aug @ 6:05pm
Oh, and also, it'd be nice if the panel didn't have a background & border, and instead be transparent like other standard RimWorld build menus.
Jerek 24 Aug @ 6:04pm
@ferny That would be awesome! Also, I had an idea regarding the layout of this, which would also be helpful for a more broad version: I think it would be helpful to have the extra controls (the things currently in the right column) placed along the bottom underneath the other two columns.

Like this:

M = material
F = floors
C = controls

M FFFFFFFFFF
M FFFFFFFFFF
M FFFFFFFFFF
CCCCCCCCCC
ferny  [author] 24 Aug @ 12:32pm
Okay, apparently all of you really want this concept expanded to the grander architect menu. I will think on it, I have a design in mind. No promises, but I'll look into the idea.
AthyStreams 24 Aug @ 9:38am
Please tell me you have more mods for the other menus? I'll never be able to play again without this omgg.
qux 24 Aug @ 4:22am
Very, very, very good, thank you!

- Just a problem with the floor lamp from Rebuild Doors and Corners; it always appears in the materials submenu.

- I'd like to see an option to make it compatible with drag-sorting.
For example, I'd like to be able to remove the tatamis from the Erin's Japanese Furniture mod and put them in the decoration category

- also it is no longer possible to search for floors names in the search bar

- Creating something in the same style for the other categories seems like a good idea, perhaps more in the option of creating submenus?
For example, I click on the "furniture" tab and in your menu on the left, where you put the material for floors, you could put "tables-chairs-wardrobes," which would make the tab much clearer when you have too many mods!
Bobkiri 23 Aug @ 9:52pm
This UI is absolutely stunning. Could it be utilized within other progression mods as well?
For example, we could use this UI in the Furniture tab to separate items into categories like bedroom, chair, desk, or even by theme. We could also separate walls and doors in the Structure tab, or organize production furniture by era/age or function.
A slightly more complicated example would be applying it to something like Progression: Aesthetics—moving the 'VE Prop' button to the main Architect tab, and then replacing the existing prop UI with this mod's UI (although I realize that might be technically challenging).
In this way, it could serve as an excellent replacement for the standard "sub float menu" in cases where separation is required, but creating an entirely separate Architect tab would be too ambiguous or excessive.
Above all else, the UI design is just phenomenal.

Очень не хватает информации о количестве материалов. Непонятно из чего я могу строить большие объёмы а из чего только две плитки.
hamed91211173 23 Aug @ 12:52am
@Dex Enfvaras
from my personal experience with my personal mod
they both gonna work BUT only item that in Floor Tab gonna show up and categorized by this mod
those mod needed to patched up and moved to Floor Tab
Tivec 23 Aug @ 12:39am
I would love to be able to see floors I have, even if I don't have material for them. I'm out of Sandstone Blocks, and I can't see them at all in the menu now, and can't even force them. I'd love to have a toggle "show all materials" or something, so I can plan for when I *do* have the materials available.
Dex Enfvaras 22 Aug @ 11:10pm
Is this compatible with mods that use the More Floors tab?
CodyProductions 22 Aug @ 6:02pm
Is there any way you could add an option to search view all flooring options instead of what you can build with a single material? Not as the default category for when you open up the menu but an "All floors" category at the very bottom would be nice so that you don't have to click through the categories to find what exactly you'd want.
KawwaK 22 Aug @ 10:58am
You really nailed it with this mod. I hope you can apply this method to other categories.
ferny  [author] 21 Aug @ 6:27pm
@Bingus Do you mean between the different material categories? Like having the same tile appear in each material type?
StoryTellerMerc 21 Aug @ 6:09pm
this helps so much i wanna learn how to make mods so i can combine things because i use so many cosmetic mods to point i cant even see the info anymore unless i place somthing and hit info. i dont know why their arent more mods like this!
Thranos 21 Aug @ 1:57pm
RAHHHHHH FLOORS
I FUCKING LOVE FLOORS
I LOVE STUFFING MY FLOORS
I LOVE WATCHING MY FPS DROP TO 2 EVERY TIME I OPEN THE FLOOR TAB
(thank you for adding a method to deal with eight morbillion modded floors)

Bingus 21 Aug @ 11:07am
Is there a reason why some vanilla floor types are duplicated in the floor menu?
BigotBanksy 21 Aug @ 10:36am
This mod is a GODSEND, thank you for this. I've noticed, however, that any time I open the Floor architect menu my performance drops immensely. It's not terrible though, since I can just pause the game, place my blueprints, and then close the menu to solve the performance problem... Is anybody else experiencing this? I imagine it's my 430 mods causing the issue.
Avitus 21 Aug @ 6:00am
Hey, love this idea, but with my resolution the floor menu takes up literally the bottom half of my screen. Is there a way to make it max out at two rows and have me scroll to see everything? Not above doing a self-edit, just don't know where to look. :)
Bada 21 Aug @ 12:14am
Can I love you?
Huge thanks for wonderful mods !
Caramel 20 Aug @ 9:39pm
please make more like this, chair, table, or walls, Vanilla cannot handle such a large number of buildings
Starempire42 20 Aug @ 4:51pm
Idea: you make this for the other architech menu's (would fix 90% of the issues of cluttered tabs I would think)

@Tokey Thank you, good feedback. Will fix the ideo slabs thing now.
ferny  [author] 20 Aug @ 12:26pm
@Bolt ⚡Obviously it's incompatible with dubs' architect menu because its a different architect menu, anything that replaces the architect menu will not be compatible with one another
ferny  [author] 20 Aug @ 12:25pm
@Vertigo It's not empty space, it's "unused" space. This is meant for people who want to load their games up with plenty of floor options, I just took this picture with only one floor mod installed.

deathbyego 20 Aug @ 10:23am
Installed and used the mod last night. Fantastic. Declutters the entire category. Wish this existed when I still used a boat load of floor mods. But just having a steel section for flooring now with the ship stuff is a god send. Not sure if you plan on doing this with other sections, but please do.
