- For the OPTRE Bearcats, the coax ammo runs out way too fast. Maybe give it the same (or at least closer) ammo count as the normal Bearcats? Right now it feels like you only get a couple bursts before it’s dry.
- For a Heavy SHORAD Variant, a Bearcat with AA missiles mounted would be super useful as a mobile air-defense option. Even just 2–4 missiles would make it a great light counter to air threats.
- For the Heavy FSV/IFV Variants, it could be cool to see a version with ATGMs mounted on the sides or maybe on top. Nothing too crazy, maybe 6 missiles, just enough to give them some anti-armor bite.
Would add a lot of utility while keeping them balanced.
The vehicles are balanced around vanilla and work well with that. If it isnt the case for you sort out your modlist as something in there probably overwrites vanilla values.
Feel free to make retextures/config patches and such as you like so long as you use dependencies. I dont want parts ripped out and reuploaded though.
There is no autovectoring as its a helicopter and not a vtol as far as the game is concerned. The engines moving is just purely visual.
I have in the past been able to just add a buoyancy lod and it worked pretty well, for example with optre oryx, cause the memory points of the tracks (stoppa LL or watever) where good enough, im sure there would be problems if the vic needed to go super fast but its an apc in water it wouldnt need to go sonic mode in water
and yes 100% non amph config is fine :)
Can I suggest versions of the SHORAD with guns and AA missiles? TOW Launcher on the Autocannon APC? Tanks maaybe?
I am loving these designs!
Needs more than just that as it relies on specific memorypoints for that as well, will take a look later today or some time this week and do so. Though I will keep them as non-amphibious by default.
