To VISUALLY DEMONSTRATE what Binocular Nightvision: https://i.imgur.com/Dmsm7AE.png (Take note the pieces of the nightvision goggles themselves at the top of the screen and see that they are slightly transparent- this is because I have merged both eyes into one, which is how this looks IRL).
Binocular nightvision makes a "singular circle" in your vision because it is merging the exact same image from one eye into the other.
QuadNODs make an "ellipsis" in your vision because it's fusing two symmetrical images into one.
I have partial firsthand experience with using Nightvision, going off of Hotdogs, Horse Shoes, & Handgrenades' (H3VR) demonstration of it. This was authored by someone who has true firsthand experience with nightvision as they own a few pairs of NODs themselves. Anton Hand himself doesn't own any NODs but one of his modelers does, and directed him on how it works and looks in real life. I also have secondhand confirmation from someone who has used NODs in real life and has confirmed that this is how they really do look in-person. You'll notice that Anton's screen is split into two, showing both eyes at the same time.

oh. right.
I have it still, I just never updated to the latest version of gWeather.
I can zip it up and send it to you if you'd like to play with it. Just bear in mind that it will conflict with the workshop version of gWeather and needs to be installed locally.
yuckers. no good...

please respect my wishes to not touch that addon publicly anymore, I don't want to remove it from the workshop. thank you.
take two empty toilet paper rolls and put them up to your eyes.
it will look as though there is one toilet paper roll due to how your eyes perceive two images that are the exact same at the exact same angle.
this is why gpnvgs looks like three dots instead of four despite having four tubes.
alternatively, if you have access to or have ever used binoculars, it is the exact same phenomenon.
did you know america is a real country? 😱
