@The Wizard Huh?! Loading my save, thinking to test if the motorcycle in question remained in Joppa if I left it (it did), I've noticed that it no longer has "hired guard" attached to its name.

@ The Wizard I never saw it move on its own. The return to its guard post seems to have happened after I'd exited the pilot's seat, but while I was still inside the vehicle.

@Lancewholelot I'm curious; when that happened, did the motorcycle gain the ability to move on its own, or did it remain stationary even as a guard?

I found a motorcycle employed as a hired guard for a legendary armorer. I repaired it, recharged it's nuclear cell, inserted a card, and drove it upstairs and outside. I exited the pilot seat and then the vehicle to find myself back downstairs next to the armorer! Fortunately, driving the motorcycle/hired guard to a different parasang seems to have kept it from returning to it's post.

oh wow, thanks! that will make them much more accessible. having 1 guaranteed is nice and since there are different types you still need to find more. very cool

@Etherios It turns out the base game has two places where cards are added to loot tables, and the vehicle security cards were only added to one place, making them excessively rare. I just pushed an update adding the cards to those population tables, and giving a static instance of one to Yla Haj in Ezra.

ive found 4 cycles through different characters, have yet to see the card necessary to drive one. id love to enjoy them someday. gotta keep hunting! thanks for the mod anyway though

Absolutely awesome, I've always wanted something like this. In your opinion, would it be feasible to use this same mechanism for an airplane mod? Perhaps simply by giving the vehicle the flight ability? Although I suppose it would be more difficult if you wanted it to behave like a realistic airplane (must keep moving forward, landing and taking off, etc.). Anyway, awesome work!

Oh my goodness, if this works how I think it does, I can once and for all live out my dream of a no-fast-travel playthrough without absolutely hating going to the stilt. Admittedly im curious how this would interact with things like a river or canyons, but I shall figure that out when I get there. Thank you for another excellent mod!
