At that point i can only recommend checking if Bestia's background sprite is even there in a folder and named correctly (gfx > bosses > repentance > beast_bg.png), bc i can replicate that issue only by deleting bg sprite and making a typo. Dunno how it could even happen, but "what if?". Also placing unchanged file 1 folder higher in directory could work, but previous removing (if actually done properly) is technically the same deal, so i'll leave it here just to have another possible solution.
As for "lost cause" deal it's good to check if NSFW Bestia mod is fully working (new Bestia bg sprite positioned differently + mod changes every single Beast sprite in game and even fight music, so no-go), swap "resourse-dlc3" folders and after swap Bestia sprites to OG (don't forget about ending cutscene), names are all same so it should work. Also it might be compatibility issues with some other mods but it's way too individual, experiments on y'all.
Just tried that and didn't seem to work, once again it just put the regular beast in the background
I might have fix without deletion, dunno if it'll work, but i opened mentioned before file in notepad, in line <Spritesheet Path="gfx\bosses\repentance\beast_bg.png" Id="0"/> i removed gfx\ and after saving Bestia is now on bg.
@Tsumugi
For me ending cutscene works fine, even with other Bestia, so can't help much with that. How exactly cutscene starts, Isaac ascends after smiting nothing or there's just blank cutscene background?
may the gooner that wanted to own the character as an adoptable seethe and mald
Anything that improves the experience for you, go for it! :)
I don't know if it is allowed for me to make my own version by mixing both mods
Absolutely not, not even a little bit, but I've just been ignoring him.
@Pokechu08
I expect people using this mod will only use this one and not have both this and the other Bestia installed. I could change the directory name but I don't feel like iiiiiiiiiit *criiiiiiiiies*
The OG Bestia mod and the new one have the same directory
I don't think this causes any issues with most people but it's easy to fix
OG Bestia design was sold to someone else.
MissJay made a bootleg redesign new OC as an update since they don't own the original design anymore, but they want the mod to still be around in some fashion due to its popularity.
This mod is an archive of that original mod, pre-"new OC".
:thumbsup:!
No problem! I'll have that figured out soon.
Bear with me I'm an artist not a programmer lol
