Oh. Yeah, the units I've observed who are either both hermaphrodites or one partner is, they search for different units of the opposite sex despite having the ability to procreate with their same-sex lovers.

If the lovers you are referring to are hermaphroditic and don't reproduce with one another, then yeah that is a bug.

I don't know if this an intended feature but in one of my kingdoms, there's a subspecies with the hermaphroditic reproduction trait coexisting with a different subspecies with the regular sexual reproduction trait yet they only procreate with the opposite sex instead of their lovers who are the same sex. I've noticed both the female-female and male-male lovers search for different partners instead of their existing partners.

The “Homophobic” culture trait doesn’t have “despise” in its description in the current version of the mod.

The description of the mod is just outdated and old.

Saying this as a Christian, I enjoy this mod because it really brings to life my characters in the world, not like the emotionless 20 pixels that walk around and build stuff sometimes. Despite its overarching ways of displaying sexuality in a non-sacred way, I'm glad its optional, especially for people like me who aren't necessarily haters of people who don't see it that way, but don't want to have to conform to some things that we just don't believe, that being said, my only ask is that maybe some changes could be done to less attack us who don't see marriage like that, for example this "Homophobic" Culture trait, I don't "despise" anybody, that's not good. But just want my world to better represent my beliefs as somebody who sees marriage and sexuality as something that is sacred. Other than that, love this mod! It truly brings the world to life, and there needs to be more mods like this give our little pixels some actual depth! <3

This is fixed in an upcoming update where units get their orientations randomly when loading into a pre existing world.

However asexual aromantic people should still reproduce to keep the population up as the mod is programmed to keep orientations separate from reproduction. If this isn't happening, this is a bug.

I love the idea of this mod but loading it into a world with already existing creatures causes them all to asexual aromantic crashing the population eventually. I'm not one for heteronormativity but that may be a better default to preserve existing saves. Great mod otherwise!

Good opportunity to add new diseases to the game if male-male is added.

So wait... I get male-male won't result in babies, cause duh, but that male-male will still occur, right? This mod definitely feels like something that should be in the base game! But probably safer for all that it stays as an optional workshop mod.

So there is an adoptions counter but it is a bit misleading as to what its actual function is. It’s particularly referring to sexual IVF reproduction. When people reproduce via surrogacy, that counter goes up. Tho this is a pretty bad mislabel and it should really be relabeled something else.

For adopting babies, I can add that to my list of ideas.

This mod is not good, there's no adopting children system or permanent genetic diseases that come with male-male copulation. If that were added, I would give it a pass.

1. If you don't want the mod, then don't download the mod. Stop trying to safeguard who can play what.
2. Gay people still reproduce when needed to keep the population up. So yes, your traits still get passed on.
3. Your last sentence implies that kids shouldn't be able to know about gay people. If that's the case, then kids shouldn't be able to know about straight people. Clearly not homophobic huh?
4. Also, this is one of the more popular mods in the discord, and the creator of WorldBox found it cool. In fact, they intended to do something similar to this mod but cut it down for simplicity purposes.

Don't make yourself look like a fool. If you are gonna safeguard the mods people play, then you should really go after NSFW mods for games like The Sims. Otherwise, you're just being hypocritical.

My main piece of feedback is that loading this mod on an existing save that didn't have it forces every sapient to default to ace/aro. If possible could you make it assign those values with weighted randomization if they don't already exist? Even if they'll eventually change naturally the population falls drastically before then on a massively populated world.

I'm aware there a ton of orientations. I would love to turn orientations into a meta object with traits so that you all can make your own type of orientations, but unfortunately that's just not realistically doable due to limitations with NML :(

there are a LOT more orientations out there, Like recipi-romatic, which is simplistic in that if a lover confesses to the lover, then they will fall in love with them.

I found a small bug. When units kiss, one of them disappears and becomes invisible, and after about 5 seconds, it becomes visible again.

Reproduction works on its own system separate from love for now.

So in the event that a gay or heterophobic society is low on children, they will still reproduce with the people they have to reproduce with. They won’t like it and their intimacy will reduce, but they are programmed to do it regardless.

If this is not happening then that is a big ^
