After playing this for a while, I've came to the conclusion that the craft turnaround time on the levy is just not enough to deny A, especially if OSP decides to throw a continuous stream of shuttles on it. So I've swapped one of the torpvette out for a beamstone. I also had to cringe the other cappers just a tiny bit more to make it works within 3k points. Now A deny should be easier.

As of 9 Oct 2025: Switched the light strike Barracuda for Torpedo/100mm Sturgeons. They have more anti-cap utility and are more lethal than the Barracudas, at the cost of no ASF capability. You'll.need to rely on positioning and friendly carrier for that.

Okay, that makes sense. I was aware of what the HMD does, but didn't understand its value for fighter strikes. That explanation clears that up for me, thanks.

Question by the original poster Veylyn:

"What's the point of the helmet mounted display? It doesn't seem to contribute much considering the light strike uses only missiles."

Sorry Veylyn, I deleted your comment by mistake while reading it T^T. I wish Steam gives us a confirmation dialog.

From the tooltip: "Helmet-Mounted Display: An advanced cockpit configuration which places the HUD into the pilot's helmet, allowing them to fire missiles off-boresight at any target they can see. ".

The striker tends to go into evasive mode when entering enemy PD range, and does not release all of their payloads in one big salvo. With this + setting salvo size to UNLIMITED and RTB mode to WINCH, it ensures the craft formation will send all of their missiles regardless of what direction they're facing, thus they can get out of combat quicker.

This is to preserve crafts.
