Okay, I get that. But I played an entire game to 2700 with Obstinate on my main species without anyone getting any of the leader traits. So maybe increase the chance a bit?

The Obstinate traits are not guaranteed. Unlike the others, they have a chance of spawning in leaders, so you'll only find them for a few leaders.

The Obstinate leader traits doesn't seem to be working. None of the leaders get the traits they're supposed to.

really? i tried but have yet to receive any of the traits from evo predators origin, maybe im just unlucky have had about 7-8 of the trait picks so far

I don't own the Biogenesis DLC so I can't say for sure... Xenology has no official support for Evolutionary Predators, but if it happens to work please let me know.

Nevermind that. The Annex and Truncate modules are now a part of the updated Xenology. No need to subscribe to those separately anymore.

Hotfix has been deployed. Please test to see if the issue is fixed. If using an existing save, try to run the xte_traits_ev.999 event to force leader traits to update.

I think it's this: Changed leader add_trait to have "trait", "consume_selection" and "show_message" parameters; removed add_trait_no_notify

I have deployed a fix to that issue, as well as an adjustment to the high amenity penalty of the Inattentive trait.

Genetic Memory doesn't parse the amenity bonus up to 4.0. Instead of giving 200 amenities to the home planet per skill level it gives 2.

The 'Truculent' trait is a little silly with the Inattentive perk it gives all Officials. Starting out, your home planet will typically have about 2k amenities, but with the Inattentive perk it becomes -3k amenities. The unhappiness penalty from such a negative amenity value is -30%.

Xenology doesn't affect AI decisions. It is purely for traits, and traits only offer bonuses/penalties or unlock specific things. It may be a vanilla issue, since PDX doesn't seem to care much about their AI.

Not sure if it is related to this trait mod, but in a new game one of my overpowered neighbors offered to be my subject. He has overwhelming force, twice as much colonies and similar tech. Such offers seem quite strange to me. Possibly it is an AI mod, but also thinkable that some traits may influence the chances.

The Nervous Trait, "-1 Leader Trait Options" was causing my game to freeze. Some AI species had it and it would freeze about 40 years in. I looked around and can't tell what the trigger might have been, probably a leader leveling up or something.
I just removed the trait from common/xte_species_traits.txt and it's been fine since. I'm still enjoying the mod!

I think this causes freezes in 4.0.9 (Today's Update). This is the only mod that I've added. The game freezes shortly into a new game with an empire using these traits.

For new icons look out AI tools, a lot of modders do it and it works well enough for them.
I despise AI but it does have some good usecases
