This makes night play bearable. It's fairly easy to add settings for custom cars, but tedious to do as an end-user when there's a lot of workshop vehicles. I already added settings for my custom livery service vehicles but loathe the idea of doing every civilian model I have. Would be great if vehicle creators started including settings themselves since it's just x,y,z coords in xml.

@Hector0n you will not need the DLC as the night time cycle is already in the BASE game, which means you can play it without needing the DLC

Will this work with workshop vehicles?
Leonid's 92 9. maj kl. 8:38
Yes! I'm gonna go to recreate legendary LA's traffic jam :-D
chabiytb0792 5. maj kl. 18:38
The day/night feature was added in a free update that came out at the same time as the After Dark DLC, not in the After Dark DLC.

@janhoyken just realized that many of my vanilla vehicles were disabled. Apologize, it works now.

This mod is fully compatible with Mountain Village patch (1.19.2-f3)!

Please follow the Mountain Village Compatible modlist.

is there a way to add this to custom vehicles from the workshop manually
janhoyken  [ophavsmand] 20. apr. kl. 4:45
@SkySam Is your day/night cycle active? And is your save at nighttime? During daylight the tail light effects are turned off.
SkySam 20. apr. kl. 3:53
I already subscribed to all the dependencies and have the DLC, but the tail lights are still like vanilla, not bright red. Anyone know why?

to everyone: no he cant do modded cars. what was done here is one by one adding rearlights light effects to each vehicle by hand using Custom Effect Loader. It's not a mod that automatically applies effects. to do modded cars he would need to add this effect to EVERY custom vehicle in the workshop, one by one, by hand. So stop asking. It might be possible to write a code that does this automatically but this mod is not related to that.

thanks for fixing my cities look during traffic jams

Excellent
Chris6d 17. apr. kl. 8:32
Funny enough I never realized there aren't tail lights in CS until now. Any way to adjust the intensity of the lights?
Is there one for modded cars
CraigMack 16. apr. kl. 23:28
Can you do tail light for other car mods:steamhappy:
CornMaruVT 16. apr. kl. 22:13
FINALLY A MOD FOR TAIL LIGHTS RAAAAAAAAAAAA :awoo::awoo:
solidusardent 16. apr. kl. 21:45
@ExplosiveBadass knowing AI it would probably put the brake lights in the place of the headlights
txrxvcrx 16. apr. kl. 20:01
I was just thinking today that vehicles in CS1 don't have strong lights at night and that feels unrealistic as red lights are very strong. Hope it could be used in modded vehicles soon!

i agree with apollondriver, it should be possible to make a code that it applies to all vehicles in game. also modded as i dont use 1 vanilla thing. maybe using GPT AI or so to make the code ?
Moon-wolf-2126 16. apr. kl. 12:44
hopefully this get added for modded cars or they get added there base off of the length of it ?
ApollonDriver 16. apr. kl. 10:29
some hardcode modder should be able to figure this out so that this gets automatically applied to every land vehicle, modded or vanilla, without the need of defining effects on each vehicle one by one; as the game does actually know the existence of rearlights, it applies texture illumination already. Could even be possible via Modtools but oh well
Dimensional One 16. apr. kl. 10:11
Very cool idea...
Caber 16. apr. kl. 6:55
An api for modders would be awesome
Dan_501 16. apr. kl. 0:33
The fact that they don't even have it in CS 2 is crazy,
And also when they brake it gets too bright, hopefully it'll be updated
PARISAN2 15. apr. kl. 20:11
I absolutely love this mod. If it could be a tad less brighter that would be awesome :). Do you have an interest in also making sirens etc. more vibrant?
flaminhotfrank 15. apr. kl. 19:57
Will you ever make this mod for modded cars?
tuananh821 15. apr. kl. 19:03
I find the red light too bright. The red light is brighter than the headlights. That's not realistic and not pretty. Is it possible to adjust the brightness in the mod?
SaishoVibes 15. apr. kl. 18:58
Hey, would it be possible to make it a slider between version 1 and 1.1 levels in game? Both look great!
KriZ 15. apr. kl. 18:23
A wonderful addition to cities!
tuananh821 15. apr. kl. 11:54
