Hi i just recently tried to install this mod but i makes the game unable to start giving me a weird boxy image at the center of what is supposed to be the "start menu", perhaps its an interaction with other mods? Another commenter had the same issue.

So for some reason when I enable this mod, My game completely softlocks and i can not start a run or anything. I get squares with the number 16 in it replacing the normal main menu background and I can press the main menu buttons but they won't actually do anything. I turned of all other mods and this still happens.

Ah yeah I can make it only available in ng+ maybe..? Idk if I can make it only available in the later half of the dungeon but I'll check it out. Not sure if I should just remove it from the pool

Love the mod. But have a question/pseudo-issue.

Started on a new profile save, with my first hero at level 1, ran through my first obelisk shrine ever and was awarded me a temporary dark curse resistance buff. Obviously this buff isn't going to good use in Forest Level 1, is there a way to prevent this from happening until later levels?

That was a trinket idea I was testing out. It's been removed.

I got working a new NPC that can swap class titles. With a bit of edge case testing, I hope that I can put it out sometime this week so that I can try my next NPC idea :cuphead:

I was in the middle of checking out if I could add the combo spheres to the gatherer NPC but I got distracted last night. I also thought I had removed the fancy combos well because they're buggy when your kit is full. An option to block trinkets sounds solid. I think I could do it myself easily with a mission loadout menu

Also was thinking an NPC, or perhaps run option to block certain trinkets from showing up would be nice. Could aquire it really slowly, like the rate you get skill rerolls, or perhaps tie it to stars (forcing you to choose more wisely what you spend it on). Would help avoid getting useless trinkets from chests (like spell power on a weapon warrior)

Also I have to say the changeable skills that replace the combo are pretty cool. Would love to see more options added there, as its nice to fill in holes in a characters kit with a flexible skill. Possibly even the ability to upgrade it at the skill trainer would be awesome...

Ah hmm I can increase the gold reward for the lower difficulty but I think I want to keep it at 0.7 for the 50k bets on the highest difficulty

Walls of Gadis is so lame. Bot can shoot through walls i cant, i have only wall cards he had place cannon, shoot cannon and e.t.c. at easy difficulty. it is realy to win?

A lot is possible, but yeah I personally hope that the combo gets developed into a skill tree. I could try myself but I could tell it would take a lot of time heh

Thats a good question. I've been playing with the mod that adds extra skill choices - but without them they would really muck up builds with more perk choices in the pool.

On that note, while truth be told 5 skill choices per level is a bit too strong, I could see a solution where you have three "regular" skill choices per orb like normal, and a fourth bonus choice that is always a random combo perk.

Perhaps you could have an NPC in town that you allocate stars into to unlock the various combo upgrades, and people can control which ones show up with a respec.

No idea if this is all possible to even program or not from a modders perspective. TBH I wish the devs didn't leave combo in such a weak spot to begin with.

Ah yeah I'll fix those trinket costs. Perks sounds interesting, but how is it added in the game? I don't want to muddy the skill orb bool with more options. I was gonna add those combo trinkets from hoh1. I also have an idea for a few more unique combo types

Also, as an idea, how about extra perks that do stuff with combo? right now the only combo perks are the projectiles that shoot out. If is had more interesting perks it might be more tempting to take...

Looks like the trinkets added via the gatherer do not have a gold cost associated with them. They are free to buy from the trinket vendor when in a run.

When trying to play the Walls of Gadir, I place the bet and then it boots me out of the minigame immediately. Causing me to lose money.

Yeah the balanced approach would be to only allow commons and uncommons, but I don't think everyone will only pick crowning achievement since it wasn't what people were doing with the hoh1 magic anvil. I expect the average player to not have most rare blueprints but that's probably not lining up with people trying mods. There's also a lack of NGP cost scaling across every buff in the loadout, so balance is already poor for those that would be at the point of having every BP

I like the idea of walking into a level with a trinket you pick but isn't everyone just going to pick crowning achievement? Might need a way to incentivse players to take lower tier trinkets. Maybe a points system? (eg 4 points to spend. common = 1, uncommon = 2, rare =4, like attuning)
