What modules should be added to achieve the effect of the first picture? I also want to expand my marching troops.

"Titles for which adopting the house CoA wouldn't make sense (e.g. those with certain elective or bureaucratic succession laws) are excluded by default."

you say this but the flag that a lot of people associate with the byzantines is just the Palaiologos banner

I need to brush up on my heraldry knowledge, but IIRC I *think* this is actually rather historical on how a lot of regions got their coat of arms. With Patrum Scuta installed it makes for an unstoppable combo...

@Décimo Yep
Décimo 19. apr. kl. 8:07
Is this mod compatible wwith Patrum Scuta?
shit head  [ophavsmand] 18. apr. kl. 10:46
I've just released mod version v1.11 that adds a new button to the title window enabling users to specify house CoA adoption rules on a per-title basis (suggestion from @hamletsdead), along with some other changes. See change notes for more details.
Zanakain 18. apr. kl. 6:23
This should be in base game honestly. So glad I found this , it's now one of my favorite mods.
hamletsdead 15. apr. kl. 9:25
@shit head, thanks for the heads up on Cat's Family COA, didn't realize someone had updated it to 1.15 (the link to the update is in the comments to the original Cat's mod)
Décimo 15. apr. kl. 6:20
Would you make a game rule that excluded the Kingdom of Jerusalem of using the personal CoA? I know the cross started to being used at XIIIth century, but no idea what happened before. I was trying to investigate it without success. Maybe you know better.
shit head  [ophavsmand] 14. apr. kl. 13:57
@hamletsdead The Byzantine Empire is already excluded by default under the "Administrative Titles" game rule. For users who don't own Roads to Power it was only recently excluded by this rule in mod version v1.9.

I've just released v1.10 which adds a game rule that tweaks whether players and/or the AI are eligible to adopt house CoA. Enabling users to specify individual titles to be ineligible to adopt house CoA is a bit out of scope for this mod, however for better looking dynastic CoAs I can recommend Cat's Family CoA mod .
hamletsdead 14. apr. kl. 11:13
This is awesome, but is there any way you could add a "player only" rule and a way to exclude certain titles? The house COAs for a lot the European houses and Denmark/Norway are are fugly as hell. And I'd like to be able to keep Byzantium's COA without disabling the mod if possible. Great mod, thanks and kudos for the work!

Oh my god, I have been searching for this for ages. ever since I experienced this from AGOT. I can never get out of if just because of this feature. Thank youuu
devil040807 9. apr. kl. 5:01
thats in base AGOT
KosmasKeletzis 9. apr. kl. 4:32
I would imagine this is compatible with AGOT?
shit head  [ophavsmand] 8. apr. kl. 23:06
@Dakosaurus Thanks, I didn't consider the behavior when RTP is inactive. I've just released v1.9 which addresses the issue by treating the ERE and Roman Empire titles as "administrative" when RTP is inactive.
Dakosaurus 8. apr. kl. 17:37
Note: I realize this may be because I don’t have Roads to Power, which may have the succession law that prevents this.
Dakosaurus 8. apr. kl. 17:34
I love this mod! It adds a lot of variety to the map, especially when new rulers take control of titles. The only problem for me, and I think it's a bit immersion-breaking, is that the Byzantine Empire's title CoA changes to its primary ruler, like the Komnenos family, which is not as unique and culturally flavorful as the Byzantine Empire's original crest.
Emanon 5. apr. kl. 7:54
No worries. Again, cheers!
shit head  [ophavsmand] 4. apr. kl. 11:50
@Emanon I'm personally not bothered by it, but I've included the "Primary titles only" and "House heads only" rule options for those who are. They can be turned on mid save via Gamerule Gadget and may address your issue.

Another idea could be to add a rule that makes cadet branches more common so that characters form them as soon as they're ruling and able, meaning each one gets their own CoA. I haven't looked into this yet though.
Mightus 31. mar. kl. 15:10
Sorry for confusion, and thanks for the mod!
Mightus 31. mar. kl. 6:09
Ok, I think the issue was that I've benn using tha lite version of game rule gadget
shit head  [ophavsmand] 31. mar. kl. 0:55
@biodtox I've just released update v1.7 which excludes titles with the Princely Elective succession law (like the HRE) from adopting house CoA.
shit head  [ophavsmand] 31. mar. kl. 0:54
@Mightus If your save used the mod at any time with a version <= 0.1, then most game rules will not work (in fact many features of the mod won't work) because these versions did not store the original title CoAs before adopting house CoAs, so there's nothing to revert back to once a title becomes ineligible due to game rules or other changes. Otherwise, I'm not quite sure what you mean by "necessary flag", are you making sure to tweak rules via the game rule gadget mod?
Mightus 30. mar. kl. 15:48
Hey, I noticed that contrary to the description you can't change the rules mid save because game rules lack the necessary flag assigned to them; is something wrong on my end?
Love the mod btw
biodtox 30. mar. kl. 15:14
Would it be possible to add gamerules to exclude certain titles (foe example HRE) from this mechanic?
Angel DeStaar 29. mar. kl. 7:12
Wonderful, thanks for the quick fix)
shit head  [ophavsmand] 29. mar. kl. 6:50
@Angel DeStaar Thanks for the report, I've fixed the issue. I've also added a new title game rule 'Disabled' that can be used during an existing save before disabling the mod to revert titles to their original CoAs.
Angel DeStaar 29. mar. kl. 1:30
And one more thing — it’s probably worth mentioning in the description that disabling or uninstalling the mod will not revert the changes it made. Maybe, in this regard, it would be a good idea to add decision like "preparation for disabling," which would restore everything to its original state?
Angel DeStaar 29. mar. kl. 1:24
As far as I understand, the problem might be the following: when the rule was initially set by default for all titles and all house members, the mod worked correctly and replaced everything. However, subsequent attempts to set more restricted conditions (only the main title and only for the house head) for some reason do not revert the already assigned COAs.
Angel DeStaar 29. mar. kl. 0:53
After version 1.1, the game rule settings stopped working—no matter what I set, all titles for all house members always change. Waited half a year after loading the save – same result. Changed game rule and waited 4+ months – same result. Didn't use versions prior to 1.1.

Version v1.2 released, including new game rule to control whether all house members are allowed to adopt the house CoA as title CoA (default), or just the house head.
IronWolfGaming101 27. mar. kl. 1:56
Cadet Branches are fixed! No more Repeated Karling!
shit head  [ophavsmand] 26. mar. kl. 19:00
Version v1.1 released including changes based on feedback, see change notes for more details.

Highlights include:
- New game rule that tweaks whether only primary title adopts house CoA.
- New cadet branch CoA generation logic (tweakable via game rules).
- Some changes to the types of titles that are eligible for house CoA adoption.
uov 26. mar. kl. 6:18
I love this mod! Would love to see titles get quartered if held by non-house-head house members, showing both the house COA and original held-title COA, but house head always has the full house COA
IronWolfGaming101 25. mar. kl. 1:13
If I enable HH when I have a previous save using this mod does it change everything to what it should be?
Tacos Jarrock 24. mar. kl. 23:07
@Angel DeStaar I agree, I love the idea of the mod but looking through my claims all with the same CoA is a little difficult.
shit head  [ophavsmand] 24. mar. kl. 23:06
I'll look into preventing title based quartering in an update, but yes for now Happy Heraldry will accomplish that.
IronWolfGaming101 24. mar. kl. 17:56
So I have to play my saves with HH as well?
bastientda 24. mar. kl. 13:27
I was waiting for a mod like this since AGOT launching :steamhappy:
Thanks a lot !
shit head  [ophavsmand] 24. mar. kl. 10:47
That is a feature in Happy Heraldry
Ġedryht of Wōden 24. mar. kl. 4:32
@IronWolfGaming101
My suggestion of only the house heads primary title COA's changing the kingdom banner would fix this.
