strongheart7833 this is an in-game error that occurs when using the resource switch. The error is old and only developers can fix it by handling the situation with an empty resource value, but they haven't gotten around to it yet. To reduce the likelihood of its occurrence, you can turn off the factory/greenhouse, change the resource type and turn them on again.

Kasper i deliberately made a small resource shortage in the mod, which forces the player to look for ways to overcome it and does not give too much advantage in an online game. Usually, one huge beet greenhouse and two sugar processing plants are enough for stable production, and taking into account the mechanics of buffs from nearby factories and the progressive bonus from the bar in the latest version of the mod, production has increased even more.

Cheers, I been using this mod extensivly, Questions tho, Are sugar production suppose to be a bottleneck for production? no matter the amount of harvesting the factories which produce sugar are just not enough to produce logical amount 18 beats >1 suger when most recipes require 1 sugar means you need 10 or more cannerries working around the clock to product even a modest amount (this is all tested so far i have mega huge farming ships)

if you seen the bioship mod i think you could make a ship that is like that but nature base and i think if you can do this mod you can do that with the other one instead of bodies you use power and grow your ship

Smurf_man128, thank you for your feedback. This error can occur when using the resource switch in any mod, not just the farming mod. I reported this error to the developers over a year ago, but it has not been fixed yet. I can only recommend a solution that minimizes the likelihood of this error occurring. Before changing the resource type, stop the factory using the power button, change the type, and then start it again.

I really love this mod. But I am running into a issue when i change the recipe for the cannery's or orangerys the game crashes.

♢ Over-in In the current version of the game, you cannot manage the crew or individual members' parameters. Unfortunately, the buff system does not apply to them. In the next version of the mod, the bar will increase the productivity of the cannery.

disco thanks for the feedback. In the current version, the bar is a fan object, but in the next version, which I still can't get around to publishing, the bar will be very useful for the cannery.

FYI, the issue is the apples sit in a nebulous undefined space unless you assign a storage spot for them, then you can sell the apples a stack at a time!

Hey There! Love the idea for the mod! I just starting playing career with it and noticed potential issues? All of the production buildings are called "orangeries", so I thought they were all orchards and went with the one with trees. This version, the actual orchard, just produces apples, which no one will buy and don't seem to be used in any recipe (when trying to sell to anyone, I get the "probably no airlock" message). Switching to the "small orangery" allowed me to start producing the other goods, but what am I to do with all these apples?

to some degree, yeah, that slows you down some. although you still make a huge amount of money filling freighters passing buy. and once you research processed foods, you almost never have that problem.

-Data- I would argue with that statement. If you develop using only farming, without resource extraction and tasks to destroy pirates, you will not soon be able to reach the level of a tycoon and afford to build a strong fleet to go outside the system. First of all, you will face the problem of selling a huge amount of your products, because logistics in the game is not dynamic and the transport ships arriving at the station do not get bigger as your productivity increases.

this could use a big rebalance. you can progress loads faster than the vanilla game loop just by selling food only. i feel this is something that should slowly make a little extra cash while youre off playing the rest of the game, rather than being better than playing the rest of the game

Atrix, thank you for your feedback. The issue with “cable age” has been resolved for quite some time. All mod components are capable of functioning with this method of energy transfer. Which specific mod are you utilizing in the game for energy transfer? There are numerous clones available. Please provide a link to it in the workshop with your message, and I will verify its compatibility.

When I mouseover orangeries and canneries, I get a "no power" notice,so those machines don't start up. It might just be a conflict with a version of "cable age" I tried that helps power flow without being carried. That mod seems to work fine though since other machines that are out of it's range will still have crew carry power normally.

Fedora_Liker There are already fruit gardens. Apparently, you just want a recreation area with a pond, a waterfall, and ducks. I already had that idea and partially sketched it out. I was stopped by a lack of ideas for animation. The tree just stood there, the water just flowed, and somehow it all turned out rather boring.

For all those who asked why you need a bar, I inform you that now the cannery gets a buff of doubling the loaded production, provided that it is located within a radius of 10 cells from the bar and there is something to drink or eat in the bar. Version 1.5 will contain this and a few other innovations

Popeye, Dang What to do with pears? The only thing that comes to my mind is pear pie and that's it. I already have a banana tree, but I didn't add it since I'm not quite sure what to do with the banana. I plan to use the apples and peppers for pies and winemaking.

i can try and replicate the crash tomorrow but i think its a pathfinding error, related to changing what a farm produces or trying to pick up crops that i had ejected earlier
