This mod is not updated for Rimworld 1.6, so you may be using the wrong version. Otherwise, this issue may stem from an unforeseen mod conflict.
@MajorityOfTheInternet It carries 150 for the Ancient Cart and 250 for the Preserved Cart, the idea being that the old parts will buckle and snap off if you add too much weight, while the intact cart can handle much more. It varies by biome but both of the carts travel a bit less than walking speed, I figured that made sense and it's balanced by the fact that you can have far more mass in a one-person caravan with a pretty low investment. The ancient cart travels at .7 speed and the new one at .9, if memory serves. Basically the idea is that the older one probably has a gimpy, hairy wheel (as they always do) and digs into the ground a bit more.
