Thanks for supporting Modix — more coming soon. 31st July
— The Modix Team
Hi! We’re aware that Windows Defender may flag the current version of Modix this is a false positive, and there is no Trojan or malicious code in the software.
We’ve stated that all users should avoid downloading or installing Modix until v1.1.2 is officially RELEASED. Previous versions are outdated and may no longer function as expected.
The upcoming v1.1.2 update will address these issues and improve overall compatibility. For updates or support, feel free to join our discord server. we're happy to answer any questions and provide clarity.
Thanks for your patience and understanding!
We're excited to share that Modix Game Panel v1.1.2 is now in its final development stage and will be launching this month! You can get alot more information on our discord.
⚠️ Important Notice for Existing Users:
If you have a previous version of Modix installed on your server, please remove it entirely before installing v1.1.2. This version is a full rebuild of the panel and is not compatible with older releases.
Hey, I had to take a break but recently returned. The newest version 1.1.2 will drop shortly just finishing it off. Anything under 1.1.2 is not supported and might be broken.
Just to let you know the latest update will be released shortly. I'm going to be updating the page. Thanks man means alot and hope you enjoy the newest update.
The latest version on github is currently broken. I had to take little bit of time away, I'm currently working on the next update and the issues will be resolved.
This mod looks very promising, keep at it bro, thx for your work
Which is unacceptable.
At least mark it as such as a common courtesy, in both the title and description, here and GitHub.
Correct.
It is not open source. I’ve never stated anywhere that it is open source.
I’ve also never claimed this is a community project — it’s a personal project that I’ve developed entirely on my own and released completely free, by choice.
GitHub automatically shows the "Source" tab because I upload a ZIP release, but the actual source code is not available.
You don’t need to join the Discord or sign up for anything. Simply download the releases and use it as is.
Also if you really plan to no release them then why include a sources.zip file for every released version, when this file only contain 2 files:
1) basically this mod description.md
2) Join our discord.txt
what the hell?
Please note:
You must delete your old Modix folder—it is no longer compatible due to major framework changes and will not receive further updates.
Quick Setup:
Download & save the new version.
Run the Modix Game Panel.
Open your browser and navigate to: http://127.0.0.1:5000/ to access the panel.
I'm actively working on fixing bugs—most features will be stable and functional by the end of today or early tomorrow.
If you run into any issues, feel free to reach out!
Yeah, I'm working on making the setup much more user-friendly for complete beginners. The next update will feature a completely revamped UI, step-by-step tutorials, and a more organized layout to streamline everything. 🚀
The website was only released recently and am still working on that, Here is the discord, where I can provide more direct support. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! discord.gg/EwWZUSR9tM
It's very straight forward if you know what you're looking at, but the app kinda just says 'Set up workshop folder!' but then the workshop folder it auto-defaults to doesn't work, and theres 3 other folders labeled workshop.
This looks good but just I'm kinda left rudderless since I've looked on the website and steam and found no info, and your discord link seems to be expired.
I genuinely promise to make this the best panel the modding community has ever seen – something truly unique that no other panel out there can offer. Thank you for the support
No paywalls, no locked features — just pure dedication to the community. I've spent nearly a year building this panel from the ground up, putting countless hours into making it the best mod manager and server control panel out there.
Right now, I'm struggling to cover the server costs needed to keep Modix online. If Modix has helped you in any way, please consider donating to help keep the project alive. Every penny goes directly towards hosting, updates, and making the panel even better.
The subscription is due in 15 days — without funding, the panel will have to go offline it means certain features won't work and I can't keep developing it due to my PC. I do all the development on the server. I'm currently out of work and trying everything I can to keep it running, but I can't do it alone 💜.
Sorry for the lack of updates lately—I’ve been working nonstop to bring my vision of mod detection to the Mod Manager and host other changes. It’s been a challenging process over the past week and a half, but I’m happy to say that version 1.0.8 is shaping up well.
There are a host of fixes, but there may be new bugs—please report any issues you find!
The update will be released before 6 PM GMT (UK time), so stay tuned! 🚀
Still working on this update, but here’s what’s already added:
- 📝 Open File – Choose Editor:

- 🎨 RCON Reload Textures Button
- 🛒 Workshop Enhancements
- 🔄 SteamCMD Enhancements

and makes it even more difficult. I'll be updating the mod page shortly.
It's my disclaimer and will remain there just now. After clicking "Continue," the Mod Manager should open automatically.
If you need support, feel free to join my Discord for assistance. Also, ensure you're using the latest version 1.0.7 for the best experience.
Thank you pzwiki <3
You can request features easier on my discord but anyway currently not right now. But it does sound like it could be a possible feature.

Mod Manager Update v1.0.6
After careful consideration, the login requirement for the Mod Manager is being removed in this update. The system has been causing significant issues over the past week, slowing down progress due to persistent server connection problems.
While this change may have some drawbacks, it ultimately ensures a smoother experience for users. Please note that the Mod Manager remains packed and licensed, and it is not open-source.
To ensure security and compliance, always download from the official GitHub and adhere to the terms and conditions.
- Workshop Integration: All mods in the workshop folder now link directly to Workshop author page using their mod IDs.-
- Custom Categories/Tags:
Users can now create custom categories or tags for each mod, simply right-click to create, assign, or delete a category/tag.
- File Editor: Resolved the bug in the file editor, so editing mods is now fully functional.
- Mod Manager: changes made to try improve it performance when loading 250+ mods. Feedback be great.
- Known Bug: File Structure panel does go a little wonky when a mod is downloaded by ID.
I'll be fixing the reminder of the bugs tomorrow.
I understand your concern. Even though the mod manager is distributed as an executable (packaged with Freeze), it isn’t open source. Packaging with Freeze bundleds my application in an .exe, so the original, human‑readable source isn’t included.
"1. **Usage**: This software is provided for individuals who wish to manage, build, and customize game server mods. It is free for personal or single-server use only."
Modix is built from my hosting and server management experience, not based on other mod managers. Unlike outdated ones, it’s actively developed with mod downloads, updates, script editing, map merging, Steam Workshop integration, debugging, and more.
It started as part of my Server Manager, but due to demand, I released it as a standalone tool. It’s already more advanced than older mod managers and keeps improving.
It’s a fully functional GUI for Windows servers, but since it’s newly released, there may be bugs—report them, and I’ll fix them fast.
No worries about the image, I’ll sort it! 🚀
