The back-nine is functionally ready, but I took a break from the camera placing process, making sure there's enough trigger volumes and cameras for every possible angle is not really the most enjoyable part, but I'll get back to it soon enough
That's clean, I didn't actually know the pirate hole could be completed this way by lowing the framerate
There was a mover fix that was dropped but reverted because it caused a problem with grouped items, also, some workshop items got dmca'ed out of the workshop and I had to replace them,
I'll update it once the mover fix comes again, Also currently working on the next 9 holes
-yes the tentacle is meant to be avoided, and to move horizontally, so you get a short window to putt in a straight line, hopefully that mover issue gets fixed soon enough
-thanks
-Yeah, afixed cameras gives an extra challenge, but that's how the original game was back in 1997 where it was all pre-rendered 3D scenes, most holes has different paths and secret interactions, so it was made with replayability in mind, also, a free cam would actually make these holes brain-dead easy
-And yes, doing my best to stick as much to the original experience as possible down to the same camera angles, 3DUMD has a whooping total of 27 holes, so the plan here is to have 3 separate 9 hole courses respectively called Front Nine, Back Nine, and Deluxe Nine
-already on it, just to make sure though, do you have the custom music? every hole has its own music but I do intend to polish the sound design
-How did you end up getting out of view? I made sure most of the area is covered in trigger volumes, not sure which spot got angle issues
-I would love if every single hole had some fitting ambient sounds
-On hole 1 my first hit got out of view of the camera, making the next hit blind
-On hole 4 I tried hitting off of the octopus arm thinking it would bump me up like a ramp, not knowing that it would send me back to the beginning maybe when it moves as intended it will be more obvious that you're supposed to avoid it? Not sure.
-Hole 9 is stunning
-The aesthetic is so good, I love the challenge of each shot being from a stationary frame. The only downside is sometimes it's hard to see where you're going/what's beyond the frame on a first playthrough
-I never played 3D Ultra Minigolf Deluxe, I'm assuming this is exactly how the game functions/an exact replica of levels... It would be cool if in the future when more SDK bugs are fixed that you could expand this to 18 holes?
