So just to update; The hovercraft not moving out of the hangar was apparently due to some plugin I had. I was able to re-enable them after leaving the orbital ship that first time though.

This is hands down the best scenario I've played yet, fantastic work. Thanks so much, loving it!
I do wonder though, I'm on my 2nd set of Project projectors and so far there have been 3 projectors per drop, but only 2 of the 3 have blueprints...Is that right?

Thanks again, sooo glad to have found this and I look forward to your other scenarios when I'm finished with this one. Already subscribed to all! Cheers!

The Nija hovercraft won't move forward to leave the ship to start the whole thing. Can rotate left/right and roll a little with gyro, but says thrusters not connected to fuel... Any help would be very much appreciated!
BalekRipdan 17. juni kl. 17:24
Thank you SO much for this amazing work! So excited to play it. However...
Am I the only idiot who can't move the hovercraft out of the launch bay to start the whole thing?
Chrisbitz 17. juni kl. 7:19
I build a merge block on the projector, and then airlifted it on top of another merge block that I'd placed to receive it.
Wildust 17. juni kl. 4:00
I don't really know what to do with the projectors. I read here and there people were merging with a grid to power it, but how do you merge ?

Also, after finding the second settlement, Volentia City, I couldn't find coords for another settlement on the planet. I did find coords for an off-world automated station - is that where I need to go next?
Ronzan 4. maj kl. 5:56
Do you have to use the radar from the House Erinienhet vessel that you get the coordinates for ?
I tried to setup the radar script on another ship but I don't find anything with scanning the first and second outpost.
Chrisbitz 18. apr. kl. 0:18
@Master Chief - place the 4 small pods first in a row, (I forget what they're called) with a road in front linking them all. Doesn't matter which order. then continue the road, and place all the others on both sides of that road. So when you place them you just need to check that the entrance is pointing at the road. It really makes no difference to the order. when you place the house pods, and press the button in them, they will sometimes unlock another pod or give you co-ords to another big item.
Master Chief 17. apr. kl. 14:45
Can someone create the blueprint of the base that we are supposed to build I cant figure out which pod to use first to build the base
Ronzan 17. apr. kl. 3:51
Nvm, it have just been I while since I played Space Engineers. And I didn't read properly :)
Left my starter faction and joined team Ninja :)
Ronzan 17. apr. kl. 3:43
Thanks @Sarekh and thanks for the scenario, appreciate all the work you put into this :)
Btw, I'm not in any faction, did I forget to click a button on the Nikha?
Sarekh  [ophavsmand] 17. apr. kl. 2:57
That usually is the way everyone does it, yes :-D
Ronzan 17. apr. kl. 1:57
How do you get the starter pod projections aligned and connected to the same grid?
I got the first one back to the camp site and I want to add it to a platform. Do you merge the pod grid to the main grid or what is the way to do it? :)

Love your work! Sent you a friend request and would love to ask you a few questions about scenario making. This one looks amazing!

@Allmybase411 please have a look at the manual page. The user Chrisbitz gave a hint where to find Silver. Another user confirmed the approach. Credits to them ;)
Allmybase411 27. mar. kl. 9:52
So, where is silver? I have flown around the entire planet, and haven't found any....

Leazar 24. feb. kl. 11:27
I'm blind, thank you
Sarekh  [ophavsmand] 24. feb. kl. 11:24
aaaah, that level, got it! :-D
So, start the game, press new game, go to community content (top right button) and cycle through all you've got until the scenario comes up - does that not work? If not, try unsubscribing and resubscribing!
Leazar 24. feb. kl. 11:12
Oh, no-no-no, I get it a player should read the panels, choose a House and drop on the planet.
I'm in the main menu, and there's no "Light Casts Shadow" scenario and I don't know what to press (I'm subscribed)
Sarekh  [ophavsmand] 22. feb. kl. 15:21
Sorry, what do you mean? You read all the instruction panels? You decide for one starting option and press the respective pedestal button to send off the drop pods and then find your starting bay a few decks below :)
Leazar 22. feb. kl. 14:50
I'm sorry I wasn't able to figure it out. How do you start the game?
serjevski 21. feb. kl. 1:41
the material from the drop-pod-heads should suffice for this, no? You could also take down an additional hovercraft as parts production unit[/i]

Perhaps it would have been enough, I had already built a production base out of habit, before I even started collecting the landing capsules :)))
Sarekh  [ophavsmand] 20. feb. kl. 13:08
ooh, awesome almost all of them! one more to find :)
Theriac 20. feb. kl. 13:04
@Sarekh Eight . Not sure if that's all of them.
Sarekh  [ophavsmand] 20. feb. kl. 5:25

@Theriac
Thank you very much, I am happy you enjoyed it! How many portraits did you find? :-D
Theriac 19. feb. kl. 17:49
An incredible scenario. Just finished a full solo playthrough and I'm in awe. So much work. So much stuff that works, despite the limitations of this janky spaghetti game.
serjevski 19. feb. kl. 11:21
As you advise, I took Nija's hovership for a single-player game and am trying to build a minimal base. But I can't build a wind turbine, since it requires parts that do not pass through small ports of conveyors. And the large port of the survival kit is not available. It turns out that it is necessary to dismantle the ship? I feel sorry for it :)
serjevski 19. feb. kl. 9:00
Thanks again! You gave the game a second life (for me at least)
Sarekh  [ophavsmand] 19. feb. kl. 8:54
Making Planetfall is like a peaceful, less difficult version of this scenario, you basically get a ton of projects dropped onto the planet and your task is to build them for a colony starting - no combat in that one.

Narsut is scrapping/exploring/building with an optional light combat storyline that you do not have to follow.
serjevski 19. feb. kl. 8:49
My other worlds have dreastically different tasks, at times. Some are purely combat oriented, some are pure building, a lot of them are explorable colonies with lore and tasks. All of them are connected via a common lore in the same world.

It's amazing... Which of these worlds You can recommend for building, without (or minimal) combat?
Sarekh  [ophavsmand] 19. feb. kl. 8:48
Most of the time, people just mount a crane on their hovercraft - there is also one hovercraft on the ship that already has one - but building a flyer is also totally valid.
serjevski 19. feb. kl. 8:48
Thanks, I see! :))
serjevski 19. feb. kl. 8:47
>> Yes, the first obejctive is to gather all the pods in one place and build them up, like a complex survival start with tasks of what to build.

Since the capsules with the blueprints are scattered over a radius of several kilometers, I need to build a flying crane to deliver them to the camp?
Sarekh  [ophavsmand] 19. feb. kl. 8:47

Sarekh  [ophavsmand] 19. feb. kl. 8:45
PS. figuring out how to bring it to the basecamp is part of the challenge. You either use the scout ship for it or invent other possibilities - some people use cranes, others rebuild the hovercraft into a flyer.
serjevski 19. feb. kl. 8:45
The amount of work you've done and the depth of your work is amazing. I'm at the very beginning, of course, but I'm simply amazed. And you have other worlds...
Sarekh  [ophavsmand] 19. feb. kl. 8:44
ah, yes, that is not a ship, that's a hovercraft, it has no up thrust, it is a vehicle :) The big one behind that is the scout ship.
Yes, the first obejctive is to gather all the pods in one place and build them up, like a complex survival start with tasks of what to build.
serjevski 19. feb. kl. 8:41
I probably misunderstood the concept of the scenario itself...

I need to build all the blueprints in the correct order near the base camp, right?
serjevski 19. feb. kl. 8:39
I was talking about the "red" ship from picture #9 :)
Sarekh  [ophavsmand] 19. feb. kl. 8:20
I think you're referring to the hovercrafts, right? The scout ship is a large grid scout that descends to the ground and hovers a few hundret meters above the outpost area, to be found via their antenna signal. It can be seen in the pictures around picture 9.
serjevski 19. feb. kl. 2:25
You wrote in manual:

===
Building the projects
In the beginning of the game, there will drop three types of pods to the surface – Outpost pods, House Pods and small House project pods. They all contain blueprints that need to be build for this scenario. They will drop around the area of the Base Camp GPS marker. Collect them with your hovercraft (or with the scout ship if you are playing single player) – and build them at the Base Camp coordinates. This is important as they will need to be in range of the com signals of the ship in orbit.
===

But scout ship can't fly! It does not have thrusters vectored to UP direction at all :)
I found an outpost pod, yeah it has a projector with BP, but how to bring it to camp location?..

Am I dumb? :))))
serjevski 18. feb. kl. 22:48
Yes, I did it. Hm, sorry, it looks like the problem is in some plugins that I launch with SE :) If I launch a clean game, the ship works.
StubieDubie 18. feb. kl. 21:55
@serjevski That's weird. It worked for me. Did you leave your default faction and join the Nija faction?
serjevski 18. feb. kl. 12:37
I pressed the "Start Singleplayer" button, ran to the dock of the Nija ship, opened the hangar door, sat in the ship, turned it ON, but the terminal says that the hydrogen thrusters are not connected to the fuel line. The ship rotates around the axes due to the gyroscope, but cannot fly out.
StubieDubie 17. feb. kl. 20:11
As other feedback, when doing the initial base setup, being in different factions is a pain. We keep having to remember to set "share with all". Not sure if anything can be done about that (I can't think of any suggestions).
StubieDubie 17. feb. kl. 20:09
I would recommend for everyone to edit the save file to enable autosave. I would recommend changing the default for the scenario to enable autosave. It looks like autosave is different than default because it doesn't let you set the save period. In my single player world SE crashed, cause unknown (wasn't obvious in log) but somehow it didn't go back all the way to my last save (maybe I saved without remembering doing so?). I lost about 15 minutes of work. Not so bad. My buddy and I in MP just lost 2.5 hours due to a network problem and...well...it was pretty crushing. Not sure I'll be able to get him to try it again...
Sarekh  [ophavsmand] 14. feb. kl. 5:53
That does not give me much to work with, honestly. As of today, the world loads fine for me and there have been no major updates since release, so I suspect there is a problem on your end. What additional mods did you install? And does the SE logfile say anything during loading up that could indicate what the problem is?
The_Wanderer 7. feb. kl. 14:53
Saw the name and honestly thought it was ray-cast at first. (Still cool mod tho)
Skellitor301 6. feb. kl. 17:03
Maybe there could be a way to determine datapad identity through a script? SE lets you write scripts into programmable blocks in C# so it might be an option
