About 10 minutes in i get insane lag, no other mod does this? Thoughts?

mod page says 6.6 GB, subscribing only downloads 2.2 GB, and every time I try to start this mod it crashes talking about errors with culture files and what not. I don't think this is working anymore. I already tried deleting the mod folder entirely and re-downloading but nothing works.

Diplomacy and AI need rework, you get attacked by full stacks spam by every faction (even the ones supposed to be allied with you) while you STRUGGLE to keep public order acceptable and field one army, Very frustrating and unfun experience with every faction i tried so far, should have kept vanilla economy and public order.

Some units seem extremely tanky despite seemingly low stats, and literally 5 turns in every faction near me declares war, swarming me with armies, seems like the balance is completely off

Amazing mod! Hope there is going to be an update in 2025 bringing new mechanics or maybe factions.

@Pickle I can confirm that the Noldor appear to have visual bugs. Noldor swordsmen are invisible.

That's exactly how it is supposed to be working. This is the intent of mod to limit fast conquests. You gotta build provincial control buildings to remove these effects

The mod is completely broken, as you conquer settlements the public order randomly collapses in all your city as your income, completely nonsense.

for people wondering, this is not a mod that is, has, or will be worked on by this account. He just ported the old mod to be able to play on the remastered version. Any questions you have will have to be found either with each other or some total war forum.

I have tried putting ' ' instead of " " for the ORKISH word. Now the crash is even closer to the one Mr khider.yassine described earlier: now the crash says "Could not find culture name '' in expanded string table".
I wonder if the report is wrong when analysing the crash, because all the necessary files seemed to be present. Therefore, it may be possible that the crash may come from something else in the log or in other date.

I have roughly the same issue: for me, it says Q:\Feral\Steam\Workshop\3396400355/data/descr_cultures.txt, line 728::26: "Could not find culture name 'ORKISH' in expanded string table".
When I looked the files, there was "ORKISH" at the good place, but the word ends at column 20-21. If I put "ORKISH" after that, it goes beyond column 26. I have no idea what is going on considering my utter lack of expertise in code.

I hope that someone more competent in this domain might figure out how to solve this issue.

Yeah wujdionizy i was wrong apparently, i played the older FATW so may be my memory failing. but i did get helmingas one time, but as i restarted that campaign i only got general units, so idk anymore

Hi the game crashes almost everytime i try to hold shift to select units on settlements around the shire, also weird bug that every time the game crashes forts get all their special buildings duplicated

I dunno, Osoerotico. According to unit's description it's supposed to be infantry unit, Rohan's mounted general is a different one. Did you play this campaign and managed to get Helmingas infantry?

Here is a bug. As Rohan, I had their elite infantry, Helmingas, in recruitment queue. but they arrived as mounted general unit instead, weird.

Some oddities with Elves/Dwarves - maybe they're not meant to be playable yet? Both can recruit Mannish units from their native cities, unlike in the original mod. This is simply a bad idea for a human player, but the AI can't distinguish and would likely fry their limited manpower on these comparatively bad units.

I tried a few factions, plenty of unique units, and played about 6-10 turns on Rhovanion, game mechanics including battles and taking a settlement work fine. But the faction leaders wrongly show as 10 star generals and unit descriptions need fixing i.e spear-men showing as ranged etc. Hopefully this will be fixed soon?, otherwise great mod.

@SniperAR68, it's only launchable on RR-Barbarian Invasion. Still prone to random crashing however (as far as I have experienced it. It's hard to pin down why, as it seems to be at random)

The only thing I would really wish would be "Chivalrous AI" version. So, factions like Erebor and Dale would be more faithful towards one another. Even in the Fourth Age, I think some factions would be very loyal to each other. And see the new shadow as a successor of Mordor. I like the option of new shadow faction having the option to embrace the shadow.
