i acidentally gift my party all the stuff i have in my hand, when im mining .fe. and then the ydont have it in their inventory
right click is just inconvenient, cant recommend atm

Actually ranged weapons are considered tools too, hence why they are unblocked as well.
But this might introduce more possibilities for gifting than just those so yes, in general be careful (you can enable the confirmation dialog for gifting in the game's settings and this mod will respect them and ask for confirmation).

Tools can be gifted as well...so be careful when right clicking in your base :D
