Does this wear down the battery?
Ryan 15. aug. kl. 0:20
causes black screen in 42.11 i'll add the details later
Lawlypops  [ophavsmand] 22. juli kl. 21:07
@Proximitive I designed it based on the indirect TPMS design, so yes, the clearing after driving for a bit is intentional.
Proximitive 22. juli kl. 20:10
idk if its intentional or a bug but after inflating the tires to the correst psi, the TPMS light won't be cleared until you drive the car which actually how it works in real life [for most cars]

Kills the Mini Map on my save
BlingBlaow 27. mar. kl. 20:09
It’d be cool if you could add TPMS as something you can install and repair. Maybe also add a random chance that the TPMS is broken, so the warning light stays on. One of my friends has a broken TPMS, but he keeps a Milwaukee air pump in his car and just checks the pressure manually whenever he thinks it might be low.

This mod conflicts with the safety belt mod. Can't right click on the dashboard anymore.
Nolan 18. jan. kl. 20:34
@john Sparta It was, but only in the Corvette and a select few European cars.
@Goose A lot of people will probably make that mistake, I lived in the 90's and never saw a car with this feature until the early 2000's The feature was just uber rare till the 2000's when one of the north american governments made it mandatory.

The mod is working for me. But setting when the warning light appears doesnt seem to work. I have set it to appear at 10% tire pressure and the warning light still shows when below 90%.
reeptuck 7. jan. kl. 13:04
cherry, that's actually how it is in real life your cars manufacturer has a recommended tire pressure and if you had sensors in the other 2 that are lower then 40, it would set off your light.
cherry-wave 3. jan. kl. 8:09
Great QOL mod thank you for that <3

Just a little "bug" with tires with different max fill, like: my van has one tire thats 40/40 and the three others are 30/30 yet it shows a warning < 90%. Imo there shouldn't be a warning bc all tires are filled to their max.
Kane 23. dec. 2024 kl. 6:52
Now I can see that light in both real life and virtual. :) Nice addition!
Goose 20. dec. 2024 kl. 10:48
@john sparta
yes, it was.
google it.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tire-pressure_monitoring_system

would it have been as widely available? no, it wouldn't've.
but it absolutely existed.

zomboid has officially peaked
Nepenthe 18. dec. 2024 kl. 16:45
I see this as less "you literally have a TPMS on your dashboard" and more as a "you know the general condition of your tires because you looked at them as you were getting in the car" indicator presented in an immersive way.
John Sparta 18. dec. 2024 kl. 15:41
This wasn't a thing in the 90s.
A Goose 17. dec. 2024 kl. 4:12
As an apprentice tech, this light is the bane of my existence.
Kacpix 16. dec. 2024 kl. 12:06
can i add it to existing save file?
Lawlypops  [ophavsmand] 15. dec. 2024 kl. 13:52
@sale93
Yep! It's a client-only. Server may need Lua-Checksum off though.

@aydemorris1627
It doesn't change anything other than UI elements, so yes. It's fine to add/remove mid-game.

@FenFenScreeScree
Ah yes, next update: Corroded valve stems cause tire leaks, batteries die in physical sensors, necessity to program new sensors to the ECU, etc. /s
FenFenScreeScree 15. dec. 2024 kl. 11:23
At long last. Realism.

Now have the TPMS fail nyehehehe
aydenmorris1627 15. dec. 2024 kl. 11:20
am i able to add this mod midgame?
sale93 15. dec. 2024 kl. 10:34
hey guys, is the mod multiplayer compatible? thanks :)
Lawlypops  [ophavsmand] 15. dec. 2024 kl. 9:33
@Rokko
You can click "view" to view change notes in the info section to the right of the gallery.
Pompadour Nautice 15. dec. 2024 kl. 8:48
Very nifty!
Rokko 15. dec. 2024 kl. 7:31
what was the update?
Lawlypops  [ophavsmand] 14. dec. 2024 kl. 15:25
@The Noble Bandit367
This mod should work fine with any car mod that doesn't add a custom dashboard. The "Luxury" ubiquity option will only show up on vanilla luxury vehicles.
The Noble Bandit367 14. dec. 2024 kl. 0:33
Is this mod compatible with other cars mods and, is it safe to add mid game?
Lawlypops  [ophavsmand] 13. dec. 2024 kl. 20:23
I've added the ability to select vehicles that have a TPMS since it's been requested multiple times.
Zarigani-san 13. dec. 2024 kl. 14:29
It would be perfect if the player could choose which vehicle models have this feature, e.g. only show it on premium models.
thesysop11 13. dec. 2024 kl. 13:14
@Czaritsa
you read the signs opposite of what they are, if you read them properly it makes sense

x < 90% = x is less than 90
x > 50% = x is greater than 50
Czaritsa 13. dec. 2024 kl. 13:09
Not trying to be snarky...I'm just as confused as Torkkar, trying to understand. :)
The greater than / less than symbols...they are like a PacMan mouth. The mouth eats the number that's bigger, for "greater than."
Your description: "A solid amber light means a tire is < 90% and > 50% pressure.
If the light is blinking, then a tire is < 50% pressure."

That, as written in desc, means:
"A solid amber light means a tire is greater than 90%, and less than 50% pressure.
(And that doesn't make sense to me.)
If the light is blinking, then a tire is greater than 50% pressure.
(Which also doesn't make sense to me.)

I love all these MODs that implement mechanics that integrate perfectly into the game.
Yes, it is true that the ideal would be that, depending on the models, some would have certain characteristics and others would have different ones.
But it is a great success. Congratulations on the idea and thanks for the work for the community.
nigel 13. dec. 2024 kl. 10:17
Very good, thank you admin!
шмайссер 12. dec. 2024 kl. 3:15
it would be great if you added a whitelist. since TPMS were mostly used by the military, at least in my country
Lawlypops  [ophavsmand] 11. dec. 2024 kl. 18:21
@Torkkar
Thank you for the help, but it is used correctly in the description. Are you certain you aren't getting them backwards?
Torkkar 10. dec. 2024 kl. 21:40
wait are you using the less than greater than mathematics symbols <> as arrows? cause I was reading them as the intended purpose which would indicate incorrectly in the text if they supposed to be arrows though then I misunderstood sorry if so.
Lawlypops  [ophavsmand] 10. dec. 2024 kl. 18:30
Yeah, 1997 is when it was a standard feature in the Chevy Corvette, but I might as well add some trivia to the description for people who are curious.

@Torkkar, Is your light blinking when a tire is above 50% pressure? If so that's a bug.
Quill 10. dec. 2024 kl. 15:10
While TPMS first entered the US market in 1997 it is a very useful mod
Torkkar 10. dec. 2024 kl. 11:14
I think you mean this in the description:

If the light is blinking, then a tire is > 50% filled. just a small typo on an other wise awesome mod really helps with vehicle maintenance.
