With the release of version 3.51, this mod is not required.

I dont care if its gold. I just want the useless art that obscures my view on the side removed

@DaMuncha: The Gold UI is awesome indeed and I use it in X3AP too. Unfortunately I don't have the skills to implement something like it in X Rebirth, sorry.

@superlgx: This mod is no longer needed if you have X Rebirth 3.60 or greater. I hope Google Translate didn't fail me and I could answer your question properly ;)

Could you make a mod that removes teh side bar and just leaves the buttons, there was a great mod for X3 that did this called Gold UI, made all UI elements gold but removed the side bar so it didnt obscure your view.

If you could figure out how to make the sidebar autohide, that would be cool.

The developer must have removed the scanline look because my copy doesn't have scanlines.

That would be raster scan emulation, I do believe. Only people that remember the days of tube televisions and monitors can appreciate those. Kind of funny that complex graphics and sprite rendering today owe a lot to rasters and interrupts. Egosoft has been around for a while, though.

What I did for X3 was completely remove the bar but leave the buttons. looked much nicer. and less like you were playing a space game in Microsfot Excel.
