@Noras The Goat I don't think it looks bad on other classes like soldier or sniper since it does fit fairly well but for medic and spy it does look out of place.

No one is obligated to give a reason why they dislike something, nor is it really worth it to get upset at every thoughtless comment on the public space which is the internet. Rather, it is the responsibility of the item creator to curate their own comment sections and respond accordingly.

Well yes obviously people are allowed to complain and disagree. The problem is more of the attitude of said criticism. "I don't like x because..." is fine. Calling a submission stupid because of something you don't like about it doesn't help anyone and just comes off as arrogant, spiteful, and mean. There unfortunately is a group of regulars here that insist on acting like arbiters of the workshop by doing just that; calling a submission "slop" is not something I'm going to react to politely. Of course, that isn't really related to this particular submission and as I've already said, my comment from earlier went too far.

You are allowed to complain about trivial things and give feedback on workshop items. That's why workshop comments exist in the first place. However, intentionally acting in bad faith and/or baiting out flame wars on (other) items - especially as a creator - ironically enough causes more misery than good. If you disagree with someone on a paint region or whatever, do so cordially - not by calling people names.

Normally I'd keep my mouth shut. The animosity is directed more towards the zesty cocksuckers that complain about trivial things like something being paintable, or who don't have anything better to say than "no thanks/not interested". That's on me for not doing my homework.

I jumped the gun and what I said earlier was stupid and, I'll freely admit that. The author can remove comments if they feel the need to, but if there's a lesson to be learned here, I'd rather keep the context available.

I think it's a bit immature to foster such ill-intended animosity towards individuals who simply gave their opinion, regardless of whether you agree with it.
