As of right now, the only difference would be part sizes and meshes. This mod is extremely old, first being made in 2022 and there have been many proposals by a few people on how to update it but as of right now theres no motivation to work on it. Im sure theres other great mods out there for smaller steam engines with proper meshes.

I wish. I got a job now so thats slowing everything down and im not that motivated to work on it. Once in a while I mess with the new components modding update to see if I can do anything, but to no avail. I do have plans to get it updated but as of now... give me a few more months. My soon is everyone elses decades

I struggled with the normal steam parts before the space DLC. When the Space DLC came out, they added new presure elements that (I think) canceled out the boiler, which prevented boiler exploisions. I tried out one of my old steamers after the DLC and it worked perfectly find despite having boiler issues.

I do not think this mod affects boiler explosions. They were removed before.

I tested 2 furnaces 1 vanilla on left side & 1 modded on right side, founded small electric furnace bit low only going up 225*C bit slower heat up than Vanilla faster heat up.
vanilla electric furnace high faster going up 370*C
Both vanilla & modded furnace same weight 220 need bit reduce weight maybe 150 mass.

This is weak small furnace only reach 130*C boiler to steam engine. Vanilla furnace much strong going up 300*C

Thats because the mod was still made when boilers could still explode. The pressure node does nothing and the description is out of date.

Hey i just noticed while messing around with this that the pressure of the boiler is broken. The boiler produces steam, however the pressure node on the boiler doesn't share any data and the boiler cannot explode.

@C4V Engineering alright. The reason i asked is cus i wanted to make a tow truck that totally won't go 500 kmh at the click of a button, and i knew steam was one of the most powerfull systems, and if mini-steam works same as normal steam it's perfect for my tow truck.

It uses the same code at normal turbine so they should be as powerful but I don't know about steam use. The boiler volume did change with size so I dont know about the condenser or turbines.

and what about steam consumption (as in water/steam)? is that changed?

Does the steam power output the same RPS amount in the mini turbine as in the normal vanilla turbine?

steam pistons dont have sounds, just the gas port makes the puffing sounds, also could i help you with modeling?

Steam pistons already have sounds, at least they did when i checked. I could make a version of the pistons have a much louder sound file. I should really be writing this stuff down somewhere.

I would do smaller steam pistons but I cant model worth jack. And I might make an even smaller boiler. We'll see when i get around to updating the mod.
