@Amaury perhaps one day when I get to figuring out how to fix it
Amaury 27. sep. kl. 9:11
Hey there, I was just wondering if the ability to consume worlds will be eventually coming back? Loved that feature. Thanks!
Typhez  [ophavsmand] 3. juli kl. 2:10
@爱吃鼠鼠的猫 They should be able to take it or mod it in now, and non-tyranids shouldn't be able to take it.
爱吃鼠鼠的猫 2. juli kl. 8:44
Can the species traits of Tyranids still be selected by AI
Typhez  [ophavsmand] 9. juni kl. 8:40
@JP AI shouldn't be able to select it now
JP 8. juni kl. 22:48
Can you lock the tyranid trait to be only at game start if possible?

Non-Tyranid AI keeps on getting it.
snow mexican 2. juni kl. 21:17
PSA: @AT if you read the mod description you would see that that Typhez has very minimal modding know how, you have stated before that the consume world decision doesn't work, it will probably remain that way until he states otherwise. He will at some point once he figures it out get it working and fixed but please stop spamming and deleting comments on here there is no need for it, please and thank you.
Abathur 2. juni kl. 14:40
@Typhez Does the consume world decision work?
kkyriakos16 30. maj kl. 10:06
@Typhez it doesnt show me any ship designs for me to build as the Tyranids, is that a bug?
Abathur 25. maj kl. 11:04
@Typhez does the consume planet civic turn the planetinto a barren world? And if it does could you make it so that you get food instead of minerals from consuming a world? I'll pay you.
Abathur 12. maj kl. 17:57
@Typhez thank you
Typhez  [ophavsmand] 12. maj kl. 17:50
@AT its outdated, using the old terravore code rather than the new one. I'll see if i can get to fixing it soon.
Abathur 12. maj kl. 16:44
@typhez consuming worlds planetary decision doesn't work
Typhez  [ophavsmand] 12. maj kl. 16:42
Glad you found out the issue bro. Yea the tyranid organic shipset is not meant to be used, it just has to exist, otherwise the city set wont show up for some odd reason. Thanks for telling me this info!
ФIMEIФ 12. maj kl. 15:28
I just discovered that the reason I can't build any ships is because I selected the Tyranid ships. If I choose a different organic ship, I start the game with the standard small fleet, the ability to build the destroyer and corvette and a standard start in terms of energy, minerals and food with no deficit.

I hope this information helps you!
ФIMEIФ 12. maj kl. 8:31
I wish I could edit a post.
I can only *build* construction, colony and science ships to start with and I have to use the console to spawn in anything other than that.
ФIMEIФ 12. maj kl. 8:22
Alright, so I unsubscribed/resubscribed and now it shows as 4.0 but when I start a new game, it still won't let me spawn anything more than the science, construction and colonisation ships. Are there restrictions on what civics you can choose?
I always pick the purple coloured Hive Mind since I'm assuming that's from your mod and then something else other than devouring swarm.
Typhez  [ophavsmand] 11. maj kl. 22:15
Yea sounds like you have an out of date version of the mod for whatever reason, it should say 4.0 in title and not 3.13 anymore. unsub to the mod, wait a min and resub to see if that fixes the problems.
ФIMEIФ 11. maj kl. 21:00
A quick follow-up on this:
When you start the main world has no ability to generate credits, minerals or food. It only has options in each district to create "The First Node"; you start with a significant food and credit deficits that aren't easily overcome if you didn't spawn in an area with adjacent habitable systems, you'll end up needing to use the console to add additional resources.
ФIMEIФ 11. maj kl. 20:50
The 2 mods I tried using are:
- (4.0) Warhammer 40K - Tyranids (which oddly shows as (3.13) Warhammer 40k - Tyranids)
- (4.0) Warhammer 40K - Tyranids Advisor

I tried adding Arkchitecture Shipsets thinking I needed that because I couldn't build a single ship.

I am missing the following DLCs:
Grand Archive
Cosmic Storms
Galactic Paragons
Ancient Relics

Oddly, I can force a ship to spawn using the console:
add_ship NAME_Ravager
add_ship NAME_Dagger
Both work and they make the appropriate Tyranid sounds which is adorable.
Typhez  [ophavsmand] 11. maj kl. 18:48
Are you guys running the tyranid shipset by any chance? The one with the Mulloscoid ships? If so, dont use it. its needed to have the city set this mod brings to work properly. its not meant to be used.
snow mexican 11. maj kl. 18:38
PSA: Its likely because some parts of the mod are out of date, Typhez is the only one upkeeping this mod and unfortunately he has very limited modding know how so you just have not use the outdated parts of the mod, as sad as it is
ФIMEIФ 11. maj kl. 14:34
I also can't generate random homeworld names for some reason.
ФIMEIФ 11. maj kl. 14:32
Same problem as st_yarrick, I start with no ships other than the construction, colony and science ones. I can't build anything else.
st_yarrick 11. maj kl. 12:38
when i start a game as tyranids i start without the corvettes tech, no idea if intentional
Inerael 31. mar. kl. 12:31
Amazing, thanks you <3
Please if you have time, add Norn queen portrait :)
wcpwnsuto 25. feb. kl. 22:09
The consume world doesnt seem to work. All it does is add devistation and a blocker after 360 days. But no rewards ... it says you get something but it seems to not actually do that.
Abathur 9. dec. 2024 kl. 23:11
@Typhez Can you do a genestealer espionage operation?
Typhez  [ophavsmand] 18. nov. 2024 kl. 22:09
Odd interaction. Couldn't replicate it on my end, so I don't know why that was happening to you guys, but I've updated and made the trait optional and not required for the portraits or the origin.
Zeth.exe 18. nov. 2024 kl. 9:01
I am running into the same issue as others on this with the custom tyranid trait the trait you have is not compatible with portraits cause it needs to be an arthropod
Shester Angriff 27. okt. 2024 kl. 9:02
Same for me im also cant use the picture as they are not an arthtropoid
FriendlyOverlord 15. okt. 2024 kl. 11:39
I'm encountering the issue where I can't select the Tyranid species because it has the required custom "tyranid" trait. But then the "tyranid" trait requires a species portrait from arthropoid. Considering the Tyranid species portrait is its own category and not part of "arthtropoid" this means I cannot actually select the Tyranid portrait for a species.

What am I doing wrong?

https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2827046023 you could take this mod as an example. I would use both mods in my playlist as crisises tend to be random.
Typhez  [ophavsmand] 22. sep. 2024 kl. 20:18
@「Sk™」I have no idea how to do that tbh
「Sk™」 22. sep. 2024 kl. 4:59
Can you make this a crisis?
Typhez  [ophavsmand] 21. sep. 2024 kl. 20:30
@d3c493b5 that's great to hear you managed to find a fix for your problem :) no plans sadly, i do not speak chinese and only speak english.
O'er the sea, no waters 21. sep. 2024 kl. 2:23
Thank you very much for your help, author. I have probably identified the problem and it is not related to the species portrait. It is highly likely to be related to the origin. After I change it to another origin, it can be forcibly generated in the game. By the way, are you planning to provide Chinese translation for this mod?
Typhez  [ophavsmand] 20. sep. 2024 kl. 20:26
@d3c493b5 hello. i actually have no clue why that would be happening to you. I've done some testing, and they always spawn in my games when i force them to spawn. you're probably encountering a bug with the game that I am not aware of is my best guess.
O'er the sea, no waters 20. sep. 2024 kl. 18:05
Hello author, I am a Chinese player and my expression may not be accurate. I hope you can understand that I really like the mod you created, but during the gameplay, I encountered some problems. When I set it as the preset country, it does not generate in the game. May I ask if this is an issue with species portraits? If you have seen my comment, please give me a response or solution.
Typhez  [ophavsmand] 18. sep. 2024 kl. 0:04
@Inerael bottom of the description there's a mod that adds the prethoryn ships as a shipset. also another mod linked there called "Arkchitecture Shipsets" that adds a kitbashed bio shipset, if that interests you :)
Typhez  [ophavsmand] 18. sep. 2024 kl. 0:02
@Viridian Rose unfortunately I did not create these portraits, and I dont have the skills to make new ones from scratch, so necrons are off my radar.
Justicar 17. sep. 2024 kl. 8:34
@Inerael so far it works almost exactly like Terravore. Though I've not yet got pops or completely eaten a world yet.
Inerael 17. sep. 2024 kl. 6:56
Thanks you verry much !
Could you, maybe, one day, add the shipset of the prethoryn scourge ? It will match great with tyrannids :)
Viridian Rose 16. sep. 2024 kl. 11:39
This mod is awesome! Could you do a Necron one next?
Soljuh 14. sep. 2024 kl. 23:28
@inerael True, but tyranids were seen actually coming up from underneath the wh40k galaxy, so it still makes sense that they're not obligated to come in at the side.
Typhez  [ophavsmand] 12. sep. 2024 kl. 15:17
@Inerael I'm assuming it works like Terravore, where it devastates the world, then destroys it for resources over time. No clue tho since I haven't tried it in so long personally
Inerael 12. sep. 2024 kl. 4:15
Looks great ! What does "consuming worlds" exactly do please ? Does it make it devastated or somthing like that ?
And it will be great if as tyrannids we start in a cluster or side of the galaxy, to represent the galactic invasion
