@Arcturus: yes, I'd almost forgotten about Richmond. A fine example of early castle architecture.

As for brick versions of my stone blocks, the strength and crafting requirements of each block would be wrong if the texture was replaced. So there's another thing to add to my to-do list!

One castle you may be interested in is Richmond Castle. Built around the 1070/80s and the Keep is still fully intact and exploreable. The gatehouse is intact and there's still a very good amount of the curtain wall (though you can't get on them).

Amazing example of Norman architecture and the history behind it is that it was one of (if not THE) first Norman castles in the country.

As for adding more blocks, I'm always working on that. I want to add a range of different styles throughout the 'dark ages, medieval and renaissance' periods. I might even go beyond that time span.

@ Henry: Thanks!I have some horn screens and stained glass: they are in production already. I haven't made shutters for these windows yet but a small block attachment might be possible. There is also the Working Casement Glass Windows mod made by STORI3D_PAST: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=916273051&searchtext=casement+windows This is what I use most of the time.

I'm not sure about brick yet. I'm still thinking about the best solution.

@ arildskovdorrit: I think it would be easier to apply a brick texture to the existing blocks. It's not something I've done before, but I think it shouldn't be too difficult - we already have a number of texture replacement mods. I'll ask around.

off brick gothic like in low german churches and houses and in poland and denmark and Riga.

Thanks RK. I'm still learning new things, in particular about Blender modelling and how to use the M.E. Data files - and I have a load of ideas too; so the work is never-ending (in a pleasant way) I think.

As always another great mod by you, really loving these windows

Thanks for the suggestion. I ought to make large wall versions of large block walls automatically, without having to be asked. It makes sense for me to do that.
arildskovdorrit 3. sep. 2024 kl. 11:12
I will try them tomorrow.
arildskovdorrit 3. sep. 2024 kl. 11:11
I see the new walls are in thanks!

Thanks! There is this mod - https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1096499958&searchtext=galleries by Nejispo - which I have used to make galleries and jetties.
maddocksilent13 1. sep. 2024 kl. 11:06
Amazing mod, as always! Brilliant! A question, are there galleries in any future plans? Wooden guard tower galleries, as in some austrian and german castles and forts? :)
Wilfrith  [ophavsmand] 1. sep. 2024 kl. 8:54
Ok. Well, that wouldn't be too difficult to add. I have a lot of mods to make but that's something I should be able add to fairly soon.
arildskovdorrit 1. sep. 2024 kl. 7:57
I tried it out, and it's good! I would like to suggest making windows that are 2 wall lengths long.
Wilfrith  [ophavsmand] 1. sep. 2024 kl. 7:43
Thanks.
