Whats the point of making them have 10% faster combat speed if you're nuking their dex? I love the design though, i really want a Primordial Hive version.

If I did add them, there's a good chance it was unintentional, or overlooked.

@perfect_Prefect I'm a little confused, as the changelist I have posted in the screenshots doesn't show anything that would make me think it's affecting elite samurai ?
I don't remember adding them to the race list for elite sams

The problem with this mod is that new units appear in inappropriate roles, such as elite samurai. Naturally weak and without helmets, they are easy to kill.

@okuupation yes, as I designed them to be vanilla friendly, southern and deadhive are not available in game starts, just like vanilla hivers

I bet a patch would be necessary to select the Southern and Deadhive variants at the character creation, because in my case I can only choose the Western Hive Scout at the beginning. I do have the Recruit Prisioners mod, but still

Aaah I see, this is phenomenal news! You see, I tried once to duplicate a moded hive but ended with mismatched heads and bodies, colorwise, hence why I thought I had to mess with the models themselves. It didn't occur to me that the head models also have texture references in FCS. Well, much obliged for the explanation, I had in mind these buggers for an addition to the race, all yours if you wish to add them. Again, thank you for the info!

The original mod uses a modified Hive Prince head texture.
I changed it to just use the vanilla hive prince texture, and added in the south and deadhive types by just using the model with the other prince textures.
So on a very basic level, it is actually just FCS stuff.
I didn't realize you meant a compatibility patch.
All you would need to do is copy the heads from the race's prince onto your new scout race.
If you would like, I could go ahead and make it myself, what mod are you wanting a patch for?

Looking at the original mod, I infer that you did make the fogmen variant of the base western hive model. Therefore, I'd like to know how did you manage to change the coloration of the head, I'm guessing it's not a simple matter of switching races in the FCS. If it's not inconvenient, of course.

As you can see in the description, I did not make the head model myself, but you can get a plugin for blender to make & edit kenshi models.
