purple error, good sky, just you need to change the star material, i just used the blue clouds and then i added another star addon to replace it

Apologies everyone, I made this prior to a major sfm update, a long time ago. If I had been aware at the time of this, I would have included the textures.

do i really have to install dota 2 just to use this? is there a place i can just download the files i need?

Hmm. Try importing portal 2 maybe. Uninstall portal 2 from the SFM end. Search for a guide on the old way to integrate the portal 2 assets. You have to download a converter and stuff. Goodluck!

Can you try to help me set this up? I downloaded Dota 2, and do other stuff I need to do to set this up and no longer be Missing Textures?

I think the issue is that SFM integrated dota 2 assets. When I made this, I had manually imported dota 2 into SFM, and it came with a series of different models, particles etc. One thing that might work, is uninstall dota 2 assets sfm side, and then manually import them using the long conversion process. You may have to search for a guide on how to convert dota 2 and I cant guarentee it will work anymore unfortunately. However I can tell you that the cool shiny sparkly dots are indeed extracted directly from the dota 2 game and not from the function of dota 2 assets inside of sfm. I also dont use SFM anymore because Ive moved onto real life filmmaking. I wish you all goodluck figuring this out! PS, Try importing other games as well ike portal 2, all the halflife games, anything source related.

dota 2 is a video game, and the assets are basically the filmes in the gamefolder. You need to do some google searching and find a guide on how to get dota assets working in google (converting them basically)
