Could you do one that removes Norway's colonist from it's ideas, and nerfs Spain & Portugal's bonuses to colonization? Also maybe re-buffs colonization for colonies that are both same-continent and bordering cored provinces; so that nations in the Americas, Oceania, and Africa are still viable?

You can choose between 90%, 75%, 50% and 25%. You can freely change the colonization speed mid-game. Right now, there's no change with countries or year, but I have a plan to implement that in the future. You can unsubscribe to the old one and subscribe to the new one without any problems. Let me know how that works.

I agree with Sergio, I'm testing using this with the other slower colonization that messes with techs and NIs, still by mid 1550s it should have make it slower. Maybe first 1/8 before say it is to nerf Portugal and Spain.

I'm testing with Portugal btw, NA colonization is almost realistic though.

If you have the time, could you create one with much slower colonization? Like the other two people commented with -90% or -80% slower colonization

Maybe variable reduction based on year/age/tech? Starting at -90%, so that there is basically no early colonization, and then reducing the penalty? I'm not sure how you handled the modifiers, but I think that should be not too hard to implement (at least for year or age, not sure about tech)?

I support the 90% decrease proposition.

@Clark Crente Do you want colonization in general do start later in the game (not was this mod does) or do you want colonizers to take 4x longer to make a colony grow to a full colony (what this mod does)? Or both? I could implement a way to make the debuff crippling (like 90% decrease or 95% decrease) Global Settler Increase before 1550s or 1600s or whatever year you think is prudent and then change to 1/2x or 1/4x which is what the mod provides.

How to make it slower? I'm doing test runs and even on 1/4 Castille and Portugal can colonize into mid 1550s numbers that should be at least 100 years later. GB and other countries seems fine, maybe if you could nerf at least Castille/Spain and Portugal and or 1/6 or 1/8.
