@laky_JP - unfortunately, its not possible to plug something back in once it’s been unplugged. The scripting for the electrical system is pretty buggy with that being one of the bugs.

Im actively working on a ground-up rebuild of the electrical system for my next map that does actually address this issue, but i dont anticipate incorporating it into oak st due to how different it is structured.

@jjboy - the intent is that all the houses were built at roughly the same time. I know from a styling perspective, ive been a bit inconsistent, but the target timeframe for construction is 1965.

is 20 oak street newer than the other houses, it feels a bit more 1970s than 60s

You need to open the “primary” map. The “main” map is empty because that is where the menu is located.

so when i try to edit the map it only shows me nothing like no house only with the 3 options please help me

@Henrygta09- i generally dont mind my work being used in other workshop items (with credit of course).
I love seeing people enjoy my maps & if modifying my map brings you joy, than that makes me happy :)



With that said, i insist that any upload that uses my work isnt just a mere reupload, but modifies it in a way to make it something original.

Example1: Artzert’s “lite edition” of my Dynamic office tower map. They modified the map to be more playable for low end computers

Example2: ElCrab’s Oak St. They combined my Oak St houses into 1 map & added a cute park

@QuasarX - i do want to add, 20 Oak st is very intentionally unique. The reasoning as to why isnt very evident right now, but will be clear once the combined neighborhood is released.

@QuasarX - The next house is a raised ranch style similar to 20 oak st. It retains a bit of original features, but saw a cheap flip in the early 2010s (the kitchen is a monstrosity of bad 2010s trends lol).
Unfortunately, it has more in common to the other houses.. 20 oak st is rather unique, though i promise the next couple houses have a bit more of the 60s feel (not as much as 20 oak though)

The house has a nice back deck though, complete with a pool. (Im a bit reluctant about the pool as i cant figure out how to make it as destructible as id like.. if people dont like it, i have a backup plan to delete it).

The home is owned by a young couple who supplement their income by streaming video games online. They have some skeletons in their closet though ;)

will the next house be very similar to the rest of these oak street houses? or different like the oak street 20 one

Oh yeah I was also gonna mention 27 Oak as well! Very nicely re-created. It's cool because usually with the floor plan pages, you don't ever see the backsides or full interiors of homes. Instead of just having to imagine it, you can actually see it and walk around it. Very cool!

@Toriyaso - Yep! that's the floor plan that this house is based on.
27 Oak St also has a very close resemblance to an online floor plan as well. (P-560)

18, 20, & 26 Oak on the other hand, don't really resemble the online floorplans. (they primarily take inspiration from IRL houses or are a hodgepodge of different resources.)

I believe I accidentally found the source image for this house online... dunno if "Design 1017" rings a bell lol.

@LTC Gaming - Currently, 5 of the 12 houses are on the workshop. The intent is that all 12 will be uploaded to the workshop (so 7 remaining).
The 4 remaining is just how many are left to build.. I keep a few as a buffer so that I can release one each month without interruption if I end up getting behind schedule.

@plague_d0ct0r - The little room is unfinished attic space, not a closet :)

@teeter911 - I will consider a doorbell. Regarding the house quantity, 12 houses is a firm number and will not be changing. This is for 2 reasons:
1 - Each of these houses is a significant time commitment to create.. Roughly 1 month per house. Making 28 houses would be over 2 years worth of waiting. Your post already indicates impatience with the speed of the project, adding more houses would just increase the wait time.
2 - The neighborhood is already very large (30k objects) and pushes the limits of the game/FPS. I had actually originally planned for 15 houses, but shrunk the neighborhood a bit due to performance concerns.

Regarding house numbering, the homes range from 15-28. To accommodate a 90 degree turn in the road though, some of the numbers (19, 21, 23) are not used.

@Salad Fries- The tiny secret room in the bonus room is sort of a closet. (sorry it took me so long to reply to this lol)

10/10 playthrough, ~1.5 hours to systematically teardown this well detailed house

as i heard about your latest comment about 12 houses in total, but the highest number is 27 how about 1 to 27 oak street?

(having like more music stuff especially like a workbench and maybe a home studio in the basement would be neat understand your busy with the other great maps we all hope to see soon tho if not :)

in my lore the family's weird but not cult worshiping banana weird they are still musicians (hence the baby grand) they are kinda reserved the basement is filled with organs at least thats what i put there and the father does piano repairs and plays them very well while the mother is a true singer idk thats what i have in my own mind lol

@FatGrayFart - Yes. The whole neighborhood is the primary project. I've simply been releasing the individual houses while the neighborhood develops. Overall, the neighborhood will have 12 houses & a gas station. Currently, 8 houses & the gas station are complete.
4 more houses to go until the main project gets released.

@bananabread - There will be 12 individual properties released in the Oak St series + the combined neighborhood.

@EchoBreez - Yes. this family is part of a secret tropical cult. As members of the cult, they spend their evenings creating catchy/hypnotic jingles for a certain Hawaiian plantation.
