The current implementation of acceptance laws is very frustrating. The simplistic logic of "vassals who like you approve of law changes, vassals who don't disapprove" leads to weird situations where vassals who dislike you because of cultural or religious intolerance laws (which you may have been assigned randomly at game start) will oppose law changes that would remove cultural or religious intolerance laws.

I'm aware that this system comes from vanilla, where it already doesn't make a ton of sense, but it REALLY doesn't work for this mod. It would probably be prudent to add a bespoke system to allow for vassals to support law changes, even if they hate you, if the proposed law would alleviate the status quo that they also dislike.
Ingollumwetrust 4. okt. kl. 1:34
@Keitaro_Ura
Is it possible to make acceptance laws different for each culture or heritage group ?
Thank you for this mod and Enhanced county view.

@Keitaro_Ura

Hi, would you be open to doing something similar albeit different/reworked for us on the EU5:Extended Timeline modding team when EU5 releases?

We would love your help or input on a similar system adapted for the location/pop system for EU5.

Thanks for any answer!
Franzosisch 21. sep. kl. 22:44
This is currently incompatible with AGOT. The faith menu is messed up.
Keitaro_Ura  [ophavsmand] 10. sep. kl. 3:17
The mod is now up to date, and has received a few changes & fixes which all noted in the Change Notes as usual.

@Frug G. Goblin If you put the cultural assimilation below this mod in the load order it should keep its functionality while still allowing this mod to work. Culture maps are still displayable by right-clicking on a culture in the barony culture view.
Frug G. Goblin 1. sep. kl. 9:33
Does not work with the cultural assimilation mod
lowvirtueberg 31. aug. kl. 8:34
I have found a workaround for ATE: click on a barony with no holding as there won't be a shield blocking the buttons to open the religion or culture panel. The panel will stay open for all baronies.
TurtleShroom 30. aug. kl. 10:26
I found the problem. It was the Oriental Empires Mod plus the Communion and Denomination Mod. When both Mods are loaded at the same time, the game crashes on the first day. Without the Communion and Denomination Mod, it runs.

Frankly, I just want my Christians and Muslims to actually criminalize homosexuality and adultery, just like they did in real life. Paradox deliberately made that inaccurate to avoid offending the Modern Audience(TM).
lowvirtueberg 23. aug. kl. 14:25
Mega patch didn't fix the problem
lowvirtueberg 23. aug. kl. 14:08
Works with ate but the religion button is blocked by the barony holding coat of arms (due to the county screen being modified by COW3)
josipkeko23 7. aug. kl. 15:56
Nice mod
KylerKhan 5. aug. kl. 22:00
Thank you so much for the update lad!
Keitaro_Ura  [ophavsmand] 4. aug. kl. 12:07
@TurleShroom By putting this mod below in the load order, it's working for me. Maybe some other mods are in conflict
TurtleShroom 4. aug. kl. 9:48
I tested this Mod with the Oriental Empires Mod. The answer, for anyone curious, is no. It does not work.
Keitaro_Ura  [ophavsmand] 4. aug. kl. 9:41
Thanks for your comments!

@KylerKhan Indeed, it should now be fixed

@timotheus On my end, promoting acceptance does work with the caveat mentioned in the "Known Issue" paragraph in the description

@MangoCobra I'm not sure I understand, the culture of one barony switches over in a day ? This should only happen with mass conversion effects that were completely switching a county culture in the vanilla game (although in this mod it should not convert 100% of the county)

@Cole Appropriate balance is not the same for each player, which is why I added game rules for e.g. conversion speed and tension effects. Keep in mind that you do not need to be at 100% of your religion/culture to have little to no drawback from tension.
Cole 1. aug. kl. 19:07
can you balance this stuff a bit, to be more easy to convert etc etc, and ask the rajas of asia devs to use this mod for their minority system instead of the dogwater one they are using rn?
MangoCobra 22. juli kl. 1:56
Love the concept, but the fact that converting culture is damn near impossible with this... Kinda sucks. I'll be converting a culture, my culture will be 80%, and then BAM suddenly the other culture is way stronger.
TurtleShroom 19. juli kl. 11:56
Does this Mod support the Oriental Empires Mod series?
cuomo860 16. juli kl. 13:00
For those of you who use my Super Compatch and don't like not being able to use this mod...

Andy's Take 6. juli kl. 8:27
I don't think this works anymore? Also using Cities of Wonder 3, Catholic Trinity (with compatch), CFP, EPE
timotheus 30. juni kl. 23:44
Unless i am missing something promoting cultural acceptance does not do anything
jude 25. juni kl. 20:40
hi i just downloaded the mod, im running it without any other mods loaded, yet still it does not appear to be present in game. any idea on how to fix this? i tried downloading manually as well and it still did not work
Quixotic 24. juni kl. 12:52
I know it's a big ask, but would it be possible for you to upload the 1.15.x compatible version of this mod at some point? The most recent version isn't compatible with after the end, which hasn't been updated to 1.16 yet. Thank you for a great mod :)
Random Gold 24. juni kl. 11:01
is there a compatch for cities of wonder since its seems the gui conflicts
KylerKhan 9. juni kl. 14:39
Hello I absolutely love your mod! There is one problem I found though, for fundamentalist faiths under realm laws the "Religious Tolerance:" right next to "Cultural Tolerance:" is instead "MAX_RECURSIVE_DEPTH:". If this could eventually be fixed I'd be most appreciative!
Iwen 27. maj kl. 4:48
Why would it be? WoC completely overhauls the county window and adds population, and it has granularity of its own so this isn't even necessary.
Boogaloo 23. maj kl. 16:06
does this mod work with EK2
Vhodnoylogin 22. maj kl. 12:24
Cool mod, but it changed gui and broke some other mods.
What's up with you, Paradox? Why decisions mods depends on gui-mod so strong?
realsomedude_ 21. maj kl. 15:30
@Morewar1 Did you get it to work with More Provinces Expanded? I imagine it would be a load order issue, and one that could be solved by butting this mod far below MPE.
Iwen 16. maj kl. 13:14
I'm pretty sure it works with Godherja, but the tolerance laws aren't adapted for their custom governments. So that means regardless of your authority laws you won't be able to change it for something custom like Admin Republic.
Kaftaar 16. maj kl. 2:53
Hello! Is there compatch for Godherja?
Morewar1 13. maj kl. 5:24
I love this mod! Are there any plans to make it compatible with MPE? I have not been able to get them to work together, is it just a load order issue or are they incompatible?
FunGaming44 8. maj kl. 14:59
awesome, thanks for the update now waiting for your enhanced county view before i start using this one again
Keitaro_Ura  [ophavsmand] 8. maj kl. 14:21
Updated for the latest CK3 patch!
Keitaro_Ura  [ophavsmand] 3. maj kl. 12:58
It requires an update for the new patch. I'll get to it when I have the time and post a comment when it's done!
HaziTru 1. maj kl. 22:58
Dies with work with dlc?
zkahnman 24. apr. kl. 18:19
Posting here because it seems like the compatch hasn't been visited to answer the question posted there in a while, but (if @keitaro is the compatch creator as well) will the AGOT compatch be updated for 1.15 now that this main mod has been updated? thanks for the reply/letting me know if you dont maintain the compatches yourself !
<c=FFFFE900> Davith 11. apr. kl. 15:19
What exactly is it that makes the mod not work with other mods that edit steward tasks? Can't that just be comppatched as well?
TurtleShroom 5. apr. kl. 13:57
THIS MOD IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE ORIENTAL EMPIRES MOD.
SimpleWeezy 1. apr. kl. 14:58
does this work with more bookmarks+ and R.i.c.e?
BreadDaddyLenin 28. mar. kl. 22:22
does this work with Rajas of Asia? RoA adds its own "minority and majority" faiths and cultures system, but it doesnt use any specific values and just has "small minority" "large minority" "majority" as modifiers for Counties with faith and culture tags associated with an extra map filter type to see the demographics.
AdanaCityPlayboy 27. mar. kl. 2:36
Has anyone tried this with EK2 directly? Since the compability patch is a bit old
Keitaro_Ura  [ophavsmand] 22. mar. kl. 3:14
Small update along with compatibility with latest CK 1.15 "Crown" Update
djvandebrake 12. mar. kl. 11:24
I don't know if it was an incompatibility or just a strain on the system, but I had a stable setup, installed this mod, and started having crashes (especially when the county window was open and something happened); when I removed this mod, my game stabilized again.
parxey 3. mar. kl. 20:10
i tried using it with sinews of war and wasnt compatible with eachother, just a heads up.
Keitaro_Ura  [ophavsmand] 21. feb. kl. 15:06
Thanks for the comments!

@Bareback Hussein Obama Currently it increases conversion speed (can be handy when conquering) and boosts zealots/glory hounds vassals and clergy opinions. However, if your religion is pluralistic, you only benefit from the increased conversion speed.

@Drakomis What do you mean by "breakdown" ? The mod has no compatibility patch with Elder Kings at the moment. But usually, this mod should be below in the load order (to replace culture/faith related councillor tasks).
Drakomis 11. feb. kl. 18:50
For some reason, this mod is responsible for the breakdown of my 52+ mod collection for Elder Kings 2 at v1.12.5. I followed a recommended load order for EK2 and your mod was at top. Not sure how this information can help, but there it is.
Bareback Hussein Obama 1. feb. kl. 16:58
I dont understand how the tolerance laws work. What are the benefits for having religious intolerance/cultural intolerance? From what i can tell if you have a majority of faith/culture there are zero benfits, even with intolerance laws.

Unless im missing something it seems to be better to have laws set to "indifference" and just having a majority in each county for the minimal maluses.

I.E. it seems there are no benefits and all you can do is minimize malus
