Something that may help with the rollbars. I have Miranda's from other makers and what I've noticed is they use framework pieces to get a general shape of what they're trying to make and them cover them with hull edges and corners. Tedious and time consuming, but the results are passable.

Agreed. I knew about the upper and lower rollbars, but was never quite thrilled with how they looked in my attempts to recreate them. That's why I went with a mounted pod. perhaps i'll try again. Theres a little more room up front now. My first attempt had little room in over the saucer.

Also, not sure if you've played Star Trek Legacy or not, but there's a few cool designs on that too. Especially if you're using the Ultimate Universe Mod.

I added the "bridge" piece between the secondary hulls and made two assault phaser turret blocks using the deflector dish turret skin originally made for the Tartan class cruiser floating around here. Added some edge glow pieces around that, need some trimming done between the hulls and the bridge but other than that, it looks good. Yamato is supposed to have the "roll-bar" - as seen on the Miranda - mounted top and bottom of the saucer. But Avorion's engine makes something like that difficult to build.

I actually just Increased the size of both TOS and TMP versions because i felt they were not quite big enough. I'm currently working on a Ulysses Class, But i'm not liking the neck yet. That said, its similar to the one by Quantum Designs AZ.

Some good looking animations there. i didnt think about putting a Heavy pair of phasers between the secondary hulls. like a Coaxial mounted pair. Neat!
