Ok, ok. Here is something that could work. Downgrade your game through the betas in the game properties. Then reinstall NML and Modernbox if it got deleted. Try it again.

not to be rude but the worst part about this mod is how its hard to figure out how to get it working as i wanna see a pixel boy shoot someone but i cant and i wanna see npcs launch atomic bombs very sad that it wont work for me atleast :( < see how sad i am

Buddy. If you want it updated, make it yourself. If you want to make a mod, try learning C#, Unity, Visual Studio, Blender, pixel art apps, and a good bit of game design. Sounds hard? Try making an addon for a game with close to no instructions. Oh, and also when the base game updates, everything breaks and you have to wait for the fan-made SDK to update before you can update. And try balancing all of that on top of work, school, college, and other things that you want to do instead of work on a thankless mod that you give to everyone for FREE without much recognition. Sound hard? That's why it's taking so long.
