@Gui Montag On an empire's basis, edicts can toggle modifiers and launch country events (see other mods whose settings are changed in-game by edicts, such as Real Space), and country events can cycle through all your fleets (at once, upon entering battle or system?), then through all your ships, and change all their computers to tactical ones. However, to revert to the vanilla ones (after combat, or by another coutnry event) would require to have saved each ship's combat computer in a variable, yes? I am not a modder.

@AMPW I am pushing a new version that should enable the tactician computer for nanite and cosmogenesis ships. Unfortunately I don't know how to make it a toggle, I agree it would be a better implementation.

It's also not available on the cosmogenesis ships.

unfortunally not available on nanite ships but this is really something I always wanted. But I agree with other people here, a switch to toggle between manual and automatic control would be really cool (the combat computer doesn't need to be replaced for this one).

I had to take a bit of a hiatus, but thanks for the comments! It really is appreciated.

Hello again. I hope you don't mind. The YouTuber E3PO is doing a series on mods. I messaged him and recommended he do one on this mod. I may have raved about your mod like a gushing fanboi. Let's see what happens?

Dear lord, don't change this mod!

I create fleets where destroyers and cruisers have the tactical computers and the corvettes and frigates have vanilla computers. I control where the destroyers and cruisers stand off whilst the vets and frigates close and run interference. It's like playing a brand new and intelligent game!

It's possible. I would have to look into it more, I am not an expert with events!

So, i am not extremely familiar with stellaris modding but would it not be possible to have a decision spawn research project at each fleet for 1 month and researching that project with a fleet would replace its computers?

You do get an upgraded tactical computer once you research the "advanced computers" which has some combat bonuses.

I am not aware of a way to make it a toggle feature, unfortunately. I agree it would be a nice improvement.

would it be possible to have a version that makes this combat computer work in parallel to a "normal" one so you still benefit from researching better computer?

Also if it is not already how the mod would it be possible to "toggle" manual control so you do not have to drag a fleet all the way to a shipyard to turn that feature on or off?

Dear lord! I may stop playing Starfield and spend the rest of my holidays playing Stellaris!

Thankyou so much. I really appreciate this.

For we need any institutions on the changes this mod makes to the game?
