Is there a way to remove the tank? It makes it too easy to make it up the beach.

Appreciate the feedback. I've updated uniform, faction items, and will be addressing the artillery aspects as well as adding scripts to help keep the German on the cliffs and not the beach.

by far my favorite mission to play, just wondering why the rangers use the 29th uniform and not the ranger uniform? just slightly immersion breaking is all

Not sure if it's the new AI update or what but the big german artillery in the rear decimates every LCVP going to the beach. I played through twice and not a single boat made it to the beach. The only reason I was able to even play the mission was by using the beach spawn points.

Correct, there's no way to make it 1:1 fit the movie with the current game dynamics. It's made to be as close of an approximation as the game allows while balancing reasonable expectations (I'm not going to build an entirely new Omaha beach map when one already exists).

This would be great if the beach was the layout in the movie not the layout of Omaha in the base game with different objectives. Otherwise some things like a long wide open beach with no cover and the bangalore scene(which is impossible due to ai and just the game mechanics) and moving into the beach shore town rather than moving up the hill and capping the trenches. Sorry to sound so critical but a movie just can't work in this game unfortunately. Good job trying to replicate though.

The mod no longer works.
When loading the map, it wants to download files but the game returns to the main menu with the error "Access denied"
I uninstalled and reinstalled everything... Same problem...

Someone ran into that issue on another one of my missions... They said reinstalling it worked, so maybe give that a try? Otherwise take a look at the "Required Items" on the right hand side of this page and make sure that all of those are properly installed for you.

@Nutella the Huh / Igora - Yea it was most definitely the game now that you explain it! I was getting smoked by the Germans when it started to happen. Thank you for getting back to me! Great mission through out anyway!

@CookieWooky - I haven't come across this issue - is this something that happens when you're playing as the US or as the Germans? The Americans have 500 initial spawns, plus around 40 additional spawns for each phase. It might be an issue with the game itself, whereby large numbers of casualties in one spot preclude additional AI spawning? Give me some more info on exactly when it happens (i.e., initial phase, phase +1, etc.) and I can look into it. Otherwise, you might want to ask the game developer and see if there's an underlying issue.

Hey! I hate to be this guy but, when you start to lose big time on the US side the AI for the US just stop spawning so after a bit the Germans just take over and there's no way to keep going. love them map and the play is great its just that one thing that kinda bugged me. Other then that loved it, i'm happy you put flamethrowers in it and added a bit more! Thanks for making it. But if you could get to that problem it would be greatly appreciated, if not I understand your probably busy with more important stuff then a game mission. Have a wonderful day/evening/night!
