Dayz Vehicles don't function well without 4 wheels. thus the reason for most Bikes / Dirtbike mods having invisible wheels or odd behavior.

However Dirt-bikes have been something on the list to mess with eventually!

I'm really waiting to see a proper dirt bike mod. Looks like you may be the guy for the job! Please make it happen :D

Hi, Thank you for your mod. I was wondering if you have sorted the Shift Key 'Boost' issue yet. On our server hitting the shift key stops the ATV from accelerating and moving at the beginning. In some cases if the rider keeps trying to use it, it puts them into a standing fighting position on top on the ATV. This is only limited though but everyone has the boost issue. All other vehicles on the server are fine with the shift key. Thank you again for looking after the mod

The engine repair points SHOULD, be on the side of the center seat where it is visible on the sides

I apologize. the default example has a typo in the wheel name resulting in the mod trying to spawn the ATV's with my Hilux's wheels.

I am having trouble getting the atv's to spawn with wheels even after adjust the values to 1.00 in the spawnable types. anyone else having this issue? I see the wheels are called something different in the spawnable types area and tried to put the different name but still no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

I posted some example scripts in my discord that could be added to a server mod to change the inventory size for the ATV's.

I'll look into seeing if i can figure out how to make the inventory size of the ATV's a configurable value via a server profiles config if at all possible later down the road.

@Tech Is there any-chance of Creating a version with a 150-200 Slots? So player's can carry a Barrel for Storage uses on Vanilla. Really like your ATV mod But need a ATV to be able to carry a barrel.. Cheers.

ah yes. it seems i have mixed up the mod pages LOL.

The ATV is not intended to have seat swapping ability, due to Dayz lacking an animation for moving backwards on a seat. I'll look into that.

However I am aware of the [Shift] Key Boost causing the ATV to loose traction. I am busy this weekend for Fathers Day, but i'll take a look into whats changed and causing issues early next week.

I'm not sure what you mean by "fast speed modifier" If you are referring to the [Shift] key, That function recently changed in Dayz, I checked the Standard Trucks for function but not the GG(Josie) versions.

What version of the truck are you seeing concerns with? and do you have any mods installed that impact vehicles? ( expansion, Survivor animations, DBO, Rag, and so on. )

some issues with this if you're interested; changing seats causing stuck anim - and holding fast speed modifier causes it to lose complete power when accelerating.

Currently using it on my server and seems alright.

Very good mod, but its almost impossible to drive in woods and at the snow when your not are in road, over-unrealistic bad outside the road, and i hope you fix it becuse it is so good orginally like always my friend

i don't know what those other two items are. Yes survivor animations is currently a requirement to provide the needed animations for the ATV's

I don't see how that could induce a crash.

do i really need survivor animation ?am afraid to crash my server with this as i use exp.bunle and sfp stuff also...

No Support for cassettes are currently planned, Mods adding cassettes should add support for modded cars. not the other way around IMO.

But a Big Update is about to release very soon!

Updates are urgently needed! Add a slot for the cassette. The mod is gorgeous!

The default configs provided with the mod don't have the ATV spawning in either of those locations.

Double check the correct cords where given to the ATV for spawn locations.

What map?

Having the Problem, that the ATV´s are mostly spawning in Dynamic Events like Police Crash or Convoy/ Train. Any Idea how to fix?

I appreciate your offer of allowing me to test, I have my own testing servers already and i have found that My Vehicles do behave oddly on Snow, and the issue seems to stem from my Custom wheels for the Hilux and ATV.

in the meantime for the Hilux you could use the Olga tires to negate the issue, As the Hilux behaves normally with Olga tires. however the ATV does not accept any Vanilla tires and waiting for the update will be required.

i am rather busy ATM IRL, But i will begin work on correcting behavior of my Hilux and ATV for Snow as soon as possible to be more inline with the other vanilla vehicles.

My mistake i forgot that we have CarVanillaplus_v2 on the sever which increases the vehicle power and grip etc.
still tho the Olga or any other vehicle does not steer randomly on the snow.
It is worse on some snowy roads compared to other snowy roads so it might be something vanilla+snow.
Maybe incompatible with the other mod but i doubt it tbh.
i really like your vehicles so hopefully the you are able to find what causes it..or it might be on my side.
i hope you see my experience on the positive side.

Hmm that's odd, The Tires for both are based on the Olga Tires, So they should perform similarly. I'll take a look into that as soon as i can. Maybe something changed in 1.26 that i was unaware of.

1 more thing is both the ATV and the Hilux have severe issues driving on snow on the new Sakhal map.
its almost impossible to drive on the snow lol. The Olga performs way better on the snow than the ATV and the Hillux.
The ATV and Hilux randomly steer with almost no way to counter it on snow.
On all other roads its fine.

I will investigate these concerns and correct where i see fit for that update.

Mod works fine...the only thing i can ask tho is to make the interaction of the seats better/bigger
because its can be a pain to get on the passenger seat if another player is on it or if you need to run from enemy . There is another issue where if you try to switch seats you get stuck on top of the quad and the automatic gearbox struggles with hills. maybe add manual gearbox for more control?

It also appears there was a typo included in the most recent version of the Spawnabletypes.xml with the mod.

Mistaking the "Techs_ATV_Wheel" With incorrect name of "Techs_Hilux_Wheel".

Corrected Files are provided in the Mission files Discussion pinned on this steam page. and updated files will be included with the next update of the mod.

in the example config spawn chance is 5% :Techs_ATV_spawnabletypes.xml
Edit them there to change the spawn %

This example makes them 50%

I work full time and have other IRL responsibilities that have claimed much of my Free time as of lately.

HOWEVER, I have been working on and off in the background these last few months to implement a system similar To PinkGeeks Snow Mobiles, where the Handlebars and Steering wheel would switch depending on if Survivor animations was installed, But for the time being I've yet to be able to complete the needed code and changes and create a decent steering wheel model, Texture it, etc....

So i dont want to make any promises or give any deadlines. But TL:DR, Yes in the future, at some point, Survivor animations will once again be optional but HIGHLY Recommended.

Anyway to make Survivor Animations optional in a future update?

An attached backpack / Storage has been on the table for consideration for a while now, Just not sure how i want to balance / Implement it yet. ;)

This mod is great! I do wish that you can attach a backpack instead of the camo netting. Same way that I do when camping/hunting.
