The range of these is incredibly short for me. You practically need to have your playermodel touching whatever you want to hit with these melee weapons.

Is there any way at all to increase their range? Even if I have to search through the files?

That's usually the case for 99% comments, haha. Either way, check the Problems menu and console, you'd have errors on map startup.

uhm so i checked comments and didnt really find anything about this issue i have but for some reason the damage of the ANY of these 3 is like, 0.00001? (not really but its really low you get the point) and i dont know how to fix this so yeah. im not sure that its supposed to be SO low that i cant even break not a single a wood barricade bruh

I managed to get this (and the other incompatible weapons) to work with MW2019 SWEPs NPC Support. If you take the NPC sweps addon and put it through gmad to extract it, go into the addons autorun folder and oepn mwbnpcweps.lua. Once its open you will see a section that says -- Include files:

The next three lines will have different .lua files listed, remove all but mwbnpcweps/add_compatibility.lua.

Npc's won't be able to spawn with random attachments, and you will not longer be able to replace the default HL2 npc weapons with the MW weapons. But it got the mods to work together for me.

After you do all that you will have to unsubscribe from the NPC addon and put the folder gmad made into your addons folder (so make a folder named something like mwnpcweps > lua > autoruun and mwbnpcweps).

Yeah really annoying that comments are disabled on some of them. It also conflicts with the MWII RPG-7 and RGL-80 swep. Basically anything not supported by it becomes broken lol

As much as I'm against the "this addon is incompatible, uninstall it" approach, this is the case where the addon is actually breaking stuff. And I can't even tell the author what exactly is broken because comments are turned off!

It actually breaks more than just melee weapons, I can't seem to spawn some CW weapons as well. It errors during SWEP registration, meaning melees don't get registered at all. Weird.

Ah, okay so it turns out the mod "MW2019 SWEPs NPC Support" is what causes the weapons to not equip when u click on them in the spawn menu. Thanks to a guy called arthur a few comment pages over for mentioning this.

I recommend updating the description of your mod to say this, since a lot of people seem to be having this issue, and it's likely that they have this mod installed.

I don't have a billion addons, the other Modern Warfare sweps by Viper work perfectly fine, so there's no reason this one shouldn't. Especially when this one is so much simpler than the firearm packs lol

so you're saying that the problem is the fact I have 400+ addons installed?

You can easily fix it by not installing quintillion addons then complain stuff is broken when your game have hit the Lua limit.

I, for some reason, do not have any kind of problem with my melee weapons "not working", unlike people claiming here without giving any additional information.
Try checking with just MW base + Viper's weapons + this addon enabled and see if that fixes anything.

Well, not sure why it wouldn't work with "Modern Warfare ✨ 𝒵𝑒𝓈𝓉𝓎 ✨ Base" considering its a "required item"?

I only have that + the other MW items that Viper made.
And people have been saying that it doesn't work for months now, so don't blame me when its stuff YOU say is required for the addon.

The base hasn't been updated in a while and game didn't add any breaking changes. I'm using it on x64 branch and it works on my side flawlessly.
If anything, it's your addon setup.
