Yeah the 25% deduction is probably too much. Assuming they are thin walled like standard shipping containers it's 10-15%
Isogon 12. okt. 2024 kl. 11:05
I'm pretty sure it's still more SCU than you calculated, since I think you decreased the total volume per container by 25% instead of 15%

Total volume would be 7.5^3 = ~422m^3, times 0.85 = ~359m^3 per container

That's 184 SCU per container, times 816 gives 150,000 SCU total. Definitely lives up to the name IMO

Guess I could've also multiplied 132,192 by 0.85/0.75 to get the same result.

Alright the SSTO and Mass Driver are public now, dunno how updated the uploaded versions are tho, I'll update em when I wake up
Salty Barnacle 6. jan. 2024 kl. 12:26
Oh wow, Thanks! That SSTO/Cargo Port was what really caught my eye as just the unique thing I was looking for in my own worlds! Wont lie tho, that walking aircraft carrier with launching system was also extremely impressive and given me ideas on how to make that a mobile SSTO launcher!
Microsoft Word  [ophavsmand] 5. jan. 2024 kl. 20:35
all the BPs are just unlisted/ unpublished while I'm polishing them and adding extra features

I would happily set em public if you wanna tinker and explore em, just tell me which one you want
Salty Barnacle 5. jan. 2024 kl. 20:28
Hey, been loving your logistics systems on youtube with this creation being the reason I fell down that rabbit hole to begin with! If you ever release it here, I'd love to explore the world(s) they work in!

If you ever need a 2nd silent engineer for those youtube shorts, let me know!

I think he's being ignorant on purpose. No way he read Hull F and thought you were claiming the entire thing as your own idea.
Microsoft Word  [ophavsmand] 2. jan. 2024 kl. 12:32
StOlEn. It's called the Hull F. Where do you think I got the inspiration smart ass.
Valkorion 2. jan. 2024 kl. 5:22
The Cargo System is definitely stolen from CIG
Microsoft Word  [ophavsmand] 16. dec. 2023 kl. 2:43
Fuuuuuuuk ok redo

2.5 per block
7.5 x 7.5 x 7.5 = 421.875 ~= 422m^3

15% reduction = 316.5m^3

162SCU per large grid cargo container

132,192 SCU total capacity

Git F*ed HULL E!
RaidenDerpy 15. dec. 2023 kl. 21:23
https://spaceengineers.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Blocks

"The dimensions of a single 1x1x1 block are 0.5 meters to an edge for small-grid blocks, and 2.5 meters to an edge for large-grid blocks, thus small-grid blocks are about 1/125th (0.8%) the volume of large-grid blocks. However, this does not mean the mass and costs of large-grid blocks are reduced to 0.8%."
Microsoft Word  [ophavsmand] 13. dec. 2023 kl. 11:46
So let's do it this way. Large grid cargo container is 6m x 6m x 6m. 216m^3.

Say 15% of it is used up by the container and empty space. 184m^3 per container.

That's 94 SCU per large grid cargo container.

94*816

Total of 76,704 SCU. Not bad.

HULL E holds 97,024 SCU
Microsoft Word  [ophavsmand] 13. dec. 2023 kl. 11:21
Which is real bullshit cuz 1SCU is 1.25 x 1.25 x 1.25m

While a large grid large cargo container is 6m x 6m x 6m
Microsoft Word  [ophavsmand] 13. dec. 2023 kl. 11:18
1 SCU is 1.95m^3

My ship can hold 816 large grid large containers.

Large grid large containers hold 421,000L if game rule is set to realistic. That's 421m^3.

215 SCU
Exnem 13. dec. 2023 kl. 9:43
How many SCUs?
Microsoft Word  [ophavsmand] 13. dec. 2023 kl. 6:45

cargo containers are just 2 large grid large containers build side by side

or build the entire cluster and color em, works too
Rev.Dr.MarinLutherKingJr.Blvd.St 10. dec. 2023 kl. 1:30
Are the cargo containers included? Is this a World or Blueprint? Either way ill find out because its beautiful!
