pros: good performance mostly, oldland vibes in the desert, actual wasteland feeling
cons: lack of copper nodes (probably a bug, you need the drill mod) and most of the world is quite bland. barely any trees in areas where trees were common and lack of iconic foliage in certain areas such as the bonefields lacking bones.

@ha3481 i love this mod but i really dislike the lack of trees, it feels dead. i know its for performance but i have a super beefy PC capable of handling such a thing. any chance you can make a 2nd mod but with the foliage?. the pictures above show trees and that's what i was kinda expecting

Красивый мод. Но ... пропала часть рудных жил. В Скуине пропала медь возле города. Специально отключил мод - жила на месте. В Хабе из трёх жил осталась лишь одна. Скорее всего, и другие пострадали.
P.S. Как по мне, работа большая сделана. Но слишком уж картинка стерильная выходит. Всё слишком правильно, однообразно, скучно. А сияющие голубым склоны холмов и пустыня, превращённая в степь, вызывают недоумение. Мне этот мод напомнил картинки, которые рисует ИИ. Красиво, технично, неестественно.

The iron ore node seems to be back to normal, but the copper ore node is still missing, I cancel the module and the copper ore reappears, can you take another look at what went wrong?

1. yes and no.. yes - because it does not conflict.. no - because this mod uses only its own textures.. and therefore this mod is not needed
2. the laserbeams are changed only visually.. but since the weather has changed, we can say that the in-game mechanics have been changed
3. the position of the ore nodes changed during one of the updates.. but, I have removed these changes.. therefore, it should not change, but this is not for sure.. It's the same with trees and other foliage

hello a few questions:
Does this work with compressed texture mod ?
Does this change ingame mechanics? ( I read in a thread it changes venge laserbeams for example )
Does it change position of ore nodes or put trees in front of shops like some other foliage removal mods do ?

the current version has completed the general visual concept of biomes. the weather system and weather effects and ambient sounds will be further changed in the next updates.

Really great mod, after 700 hours with it tried vanilla again and was shocked how much more i like the modded biomes :yay:
But would it be possible to tune down the wind weather sound effect a bit?
In most biomes the wind is really very loud and lowering the overall ambient volume would also make bird tschirping and water almost unhearable for my setup.
I understand completely if you don´t do it just because one user said it but maybe it did not come to your attention so far and you agree. thanks again :divlove:

this modification was created for exploration.. this means that it looks good for medium and long distances.. this is due to the feature of drawing textures.. textures may not look equally good at different drawing distances.. therefore, if your game is based on micromanagement, then most likely this modification will not work for you..

I do not recommend using this modification in collections or with a large number of mods.. this is an experimental modification that is under development

Yeah, that is understandable. Still prefer the old colours tho, in the end, but that is subjective. Either way a very good mod, it was definitely worth the download and the hours I put into the game while having it enabled. Thank you for making it.

While a very very well done mod and great overall, definitely left me in awe, after installing it, after a while, some biome colour choices are a bit questionable. Mainly Shem and Flats Lagoon being grey have been the most off-putting thing for me. After a lot of hours of enjoying it, I had to go back.

Sometimes I feel like the world kinda lacks volume/is too empty but still, overall, I belive this has to be the best biome mod in the workshop. No matter where you are, everything just looks absolutely beautiful and dark and moody. :steamthumbsup::beeped:

Very nice, the landscape is much more clean. I can actually see my characters explore the jungle and see threats doing so. The desert cleans up the sand storms from an opaque cloud to a transparent mist dust allowing for visual positives to your squad and threats near it. Must have mod too me, thanks for the time and giving this out to us to enjoy.

I like the zones that are changed to look more colorful, the green areas, the forests. Leviathan Coast looks great.
I also like the scary places. The Foglands look better. Arach looks way better.
There are zones that used to have more color and now they don't. Mainly all the desert areas which are now brownish, and also Gut which doesn't have those blue tones.
All that I said up to this point is subjective.
My big critique the UI. I'm a goober that likes Kenshi's default UI. It'd be nice if the UI and the rest of the mod were separated. It's better if a mod does one or two things, that way the end user can more easily choose what to change.

okay thanks, also is gas and fog visible? because i am in black desert and taking dmg from gas but see no gas clouds. also i dont see any white fog in the foglands (i installed fog features)

these are optional versions of the main file.. if you need one of these options then:
copy \[optional]\'name options'\Wastelands.mod file to \Wastelands folder with overwrite

add-on it's an additional mod.. these are minor features that will be more in the future
copy 'Wastelands add-on' folder to \mods folder

The GUI mod should load after Wastelands, overwriting its interface.. therefore it should be lower than Wastelands in load order

you say to move it to the bottom of the load order just like every other single mod although the issue is not the load order i love you mod although the way the kenshi launcher works is top is bottom and bottom is top.. you want to load everything GUI related to the top of the load order.

everything that is higher in load order gets overwritten by those under it.
