Leave him alone, the b42 build is still unstable so if he does update it it'll still have to be tweaked and overhauled in the span of a week with every new update. It's not as easy as it sounds, and there are other NPC mods which rival his.

Use the bandit mod for now, it's the only one that works on potato PCs too unlike the week one mod which destroys your pc.

do npcs spawn? or do i have to code them in myself?

For some reason, survivors no longer spawn with this mod, unless PZNS is the cause for it.
