I do have a question and a note to add:
Do you have a headcanon voice for Voidburn? If so, what is it?
Lastly, I'd like you to be aware that his goop completely debilitates another entry's (Silica's) FSpecial. I uploaded a GIF showing what I mean; and this interaction consistently yielded the same result.
To be honest, he isn't my favorite; but he honestly looks like something I would design for a side character of some kind. There isn't anything wrong with his design; and I do like it. It's just that some of the other entries were simply more visually stimulating. His animations fall in a similar place. They aren't bad at all. They're good. Better than some of the other entries I've played with; but, again, other entries managed to outshine this one.
So, to start, I honestly haven't seen many characters with a mechanic like this; so forgive me if I make it seem more unique than it is. His gameplay is something I haven't experienced with another fighter in RoA. He almost feels like a reverse zoner. Rather than pick a part of the stage to defend from, tossing out projectiles and generally playing keepaway for most of the match, Voidburn has instead thrives on forcing you INTO his zone so that he can have his way. Even if you don't choose a specific part of the stage to claim, you can seize the whole battlefield; and make so much as touching the ground a threat to your opponents safety. It's a special kind of stage control that, while it takes time to adjust to, I do really like. He doesn't many reliable kill tools, from what I know, which is all the more reason to be as demanding and opportune as you can with him.
Terrain mechanics have been notoriously hard to optimise for mod creators
I'm sure there's a better way of doing it but for now people are just going to have to suffer with the slow down if their computer cant handle it
Pls, make a stage for him
He really feels like an original character. Well done and much appreciated.
