I mean, you could fiddle with Ability Editor to make medkits give more futon charges and futons more medkit charges while also making them share charges (which makes spending one charge of one lose one charge of the other).

Don't suppose I could get option to connect futon to charges medkits get?
Or maybe upgraded version that fit more charges?

Oh, uh, yeah, not sure what's letting you pick up an unconscious muton, maybe just by having the mod that makes everything unconscious free game, even if it's not in the list of allowed corpses.

Regardless, the animation issue is to be expected if you pick up anything non-humanoid, nothing I can do about that. That was the main driver behind making this mod, disabling carrying that would look too glitchy.

Wait, you can pick up Mutons? I'm pretty sure I've got those disabled.

Is it just basegame generic muton, or a specific mod variant?

Yeah I removed the mod all together and it all seems to be working propper now. Thanks for all the help. I still have the issue that if I try to pick up say a "Muton" it looks like the Muton just stands up and walks in the same spot as the character. Not sure how to fix that one yet but I think its just another mod confilict.

Ah, then it's Denmommy - that mod disables corpse carrying; it's right there in the name.

I haven't bothered releasing a version of that mod that doesn't disable corpse carrying, but for now just delete the relevant ini in Denmommy's folder.

Mmm, do a search in the whole XCOM2 workshop folder for files named XComExtractCorpses.ini , and tell me if you see any mod having one besides this and Extract Corpses itself. In particular any mod released after this.

I can with that yeah. I am using the NevikTheStoryteller's XCOM 2023 Modlist - Gameplay (LWOTC) mod collection. So there are a lot of mods that could be causing conflict but I can't work out which one it might be.

Weird; I'm running this mod and all its dependencies and I can't say I'm having that problem.

Can you at least extract those bodies with a Fulton?

Oh and yes picking up a body costs an action point.

Yeah I can pick up XCOM and MOCX bodys but nothing else. I can pick up unconscious ADVENT characters but for some reason when I do they look like they are standing. I think that one might be a bug with Update Carried Units and probably another mod.
I'm kinda new to XCOM modding so I don't know if their is a way to get logs or a console for bug fixing yet.

Hmm, weird.

Can you check if other parts of this mod are in effect - for instance, if you try to pick up an xcom body, does it cost you an action point?

For some reason I can't pick up any ADVENT bodies. Extract Corpses and Preview Corpses don't show up. Any idea why this is happening?

@Yikes not really - if you don't want the action costs to change for instance, don't get Free Carry/Drop/Subdue, etc.

I'd at the very least get the fixes though, and Controllable Put Down is such a QoL.

As I say in the description, if anything the next nerf I'd want to implement is making Phantom Evac cost 1AP, so you can't just airlift for free a pile of 6 bodies and then go fetch some more before reinforcements arrive.

Eh, I think making grabing a body cost 1AP is already debuff enough compared to vanilla, and making it reduce mobility runs into the inconvenience of making it that much harder to plan ahead and determine if you have enough turns to grab something and then move to a certain piece of cover, or GTFO before timer runs out.

If you want to though, there's a mod that does that - though I haven't checked if it can be configured via ini or if it's bardcoded to be -4 mob.

This is a nice mod. It's a fair improvement for Extract Corpse mod users.
For better immersion I suggest to also provide a config parameter for mobility reduction when carrying corpses.
I usually modifiy this by myself in XComGameCore.ini file.

Okay, I didn't know how much I needed this mod until I saw it.

The planking Vipers and Mechs really bothered me.
