Sorry for the delay everyone, but we are *finally* on 1.9!
Took us some time to get there, but we got there. Mostly unharmed. And with a few days to spare before 1.10 ;)

The next DLC is not a mechanics pack, so compatch time should be shorter, but we expect to take some time unpacking the new Ottomans content and how it works with our extensive Tanzimat rework.

As for patch notes, there wasn't much development time on actual new content, but we have still done some balancing in a few rough spots, and a fancy new dynamic Scandinavia flag!

I'm getting a message right now about China not working, since the opium-war-fix is still in the last stages of development, so sorry about that for our Sinophiles out there!

just wanting to say thank you again for this amazing mod . I have over 2 thousand hours on this game , and over half of it is with your mod on. It really gave a more immersive felling with its new laws, new countries (bulgaria, poland , china) , buildings , and all its other small changes

Greetings Victorians!
Considering our focus is mostly on multiplayer and stability of the game-state, we are taking a look at the different parts that compose our mod and trying to isolate the parts that are most likely to cause desyncs.
As is known, we are a small team, and this will somewhat delay the 1.9 update for the mod. We have already set up two playtesting sessions with our testers in order to evaluate, bugfix and isolate desyncs as much as possible.
It is our intention to work on the update as soon as we get through our playtest sessions and fix however many bugs we can, but there is no current timeline for that.

As always, we are thankful for the support shown by the community, and we will keep you updated on the proceedings as much as possible.

Update has just been released:

v0.11.0
* Lignite coal, a weaker coal variant, has been added
- For gameplay purposes, lignite mines produce normal coal, just in smaller quantities, but with greater pollution.
* British Republics can now select a new flag from a selection of 5
* Krakatoa now makes sense in large multiplayer games
* Private allocations have been decoupled from economic laws and can instead be configured through the budget tab
* Foreign Policy signalling "laws", for Roleplay purposes.
- Change them through the diplomacy tab!
* Add Wargoals during war

* Unified Roleplay Primer decision that can only be pressed before 1840

@DynamiteBonaparte; Congress is meant to be between players, as such AI wont start them on their own. But they *will* vote according to their relations with the target(s) and the host of the congress.
Generally, the mod is designed around multiplayer, so the AI on many of our new features is very barebones. Implementing reasonable AI would probably double development time =/

hi,
first of all i want to thank you for developing this awesome mod.
i have a question.
the AI doesnt seem to use the new great power congress feature.
is this a bug or is this normal and the congress is only supposed to be used by real players?
i only use the "headlines" mod and "imperia roleplay" btw.

@faber_avgust; While it *is* possible to set up a machine translation script through AI these days, it's a lot of work compared to the gain :( We've had some guys attempt to translate it into Spanish and Polish, but problems arise when we add new content or update localisation. Sorry!

@koukouman4ever; There hasn't been any new updates steam-side since the 1st of March. Are you playing with other mods? If you're not, I'll probably need you to join the development discord (from the Links section) to sort this out! Sorry about that =/

hallo, there is a problem with the new update, the ottoman journal entry doesnt move forward after completing the first 4 tanzimants, I ve downloaded the mod from here, then deleted it and dowloaded for github, and the problem persist

Absolutely love this mod, it gives me all what i want. Just finished my first game with Kokand, and it was super interesting.

One question, more about localization. Is it possible to add mod text in english in other localisation? Bcs when play in other language, the mod text looks more like "command line, script". Maybe there's a chance to have all text part of mod in english with other locolisations.

One of the Ottoman Absolutist journal entries requires the Balkan subjects to be dominions. A holdover from 1.7's subject tracks?

@𝕮𝖆𝖊𝖘𝖆𝖗 The Balkans is on the to-do list, part of the Ottoman Sphere rework :) Right now its at Kurdistan with some light Persia touching, next is.. Egypt I think? And then it'll move to the Balkans. That's Fallonar's pet project, so this is just from memory ;)

My own project right now is a rework of Austria, although that's only really peripheral to the Balkans.

Problem is that.. Currently we only have 3 guys + the loose that's working on this (We joke that the team is 3½ strong), and we've got plenty on our plate. So progress is slow.

The Irish revolts is something I'd like to touch at one point, but.. Like I said, plenty of stuff to dig into, not enough manpower.

Could we have more flavour for the Balkans? there's almost always little reason to start wars and at this time the Ottomans were the perfect victim as several christians constantly rose up in rebellions not to mention the troubles in Ireland from the Fenian Brotherhood and other uprisings at this time.

We've only ever had errors resulting from mixing Imperia and Morgenröte, so don't get your hopes up.

there is a bug with the ottoman urbanization tanzimat journal entry. It says Basra needs 3 leves of - (nothing) and cannot be completed

Dont know how up-to-date it is, we have nothing to do with them.

Also, the compatch for 1.8.3 has been released over on our Beta page, which anyone can find on the workshop, just search for Imperia Roleplay Beta ;)

We're currently working on the compatch so it wont spit out thousands of errors a second, after that we'll do a balance pass, also making sure all the features work at the same time. We're halfway through the compatch itself.. We're kind of running on minimal manpower at the moment so its not going as fast as we had hoped :lunar2019shockedpig:

No I mean opening the game in debug mode in singleplayer, doing something to the game like giving a state to someone, saving, then hosting that save in multiplayer.

To get anything out of the oos folder we need the specific oos folder associated with the desync you want investigated from both the host and one of the guys who desynced ingame. We have a tool that checks for differences, and sorts out unneeded information. But... Even then it only gives us a *clue* as to what happened. Usually a cryptic clue.

I would, however, like to check your savegame, see if I can replicate the desync and/or crash.
Try searching for "filebin", upload your savegame, and then of course sending me the link. I'll take a look.

One thing we found helped immensely was to NOT allow save edits (meaning opening the save in debug mode).
Our troubles was in the 1860's and 1870's, so yours are certainly early..
Are you only using the Imperia RP mod? Which version of the game are you using?

We were retrying to play some other game and it just desync on 1840ish now it desync on 1847, we were playing japan and usa, nothing strange just desync

Hey, thx for replaying me, it happened around ~1840-1845 i dont remember exactly, then we continue playing with desync hiding the notification on the left bottom corner and keep playing. We rehosted like 8 times before we found this "solution" anyway now is just unplayable, non-host players can't click on events and some functions dont work properly so we are kinda dropping the game despite we enjoyed so much, we played until 1881.

The game started desync at half week, like wednesday or thursday some people even crashing. We weren't doing anything strange or uncommon, just playing prussia, austria and greece in a random week happened. Not any law just passing, or war or seccesion, nothing i can remember.

@ByKalitos ESP: What year are you guys in? We're trying to figure out if errors, desyncs and crashes are based on the year or on the weakest PC in a MP game. Our own campaign just ended with some 25 people left in year 1910'ish, but there was some issues earlier on in the campaign.

Also, are you using any other mods? Victoria 3 is notoriously unstable when using multiple mods at the same time in MP.

Playing mp with my friends and its awsome!!! Anyway we cant enjoy it anymore couse keep crashing all the time, pls fix it

@Caesar, I believe we already have cold/arctic water ports :) As for Ottoman + Greek Flavour, we're in Phase 2 of the multi-phase process of creating a strong Ottoman content framework. The Balkans are the last to be addressed, after Kurdistan (currently void of content so highest priority) and Egypt (most immediate need given its place in the game).
As for the Great Game/Vanilla stuff, we do have them but we are always continuing to to tweak them into fitting the mod's parameters as best we can.

- Implement the Great Game and other events from vanilla into the mod if not already done.

IDK how to submit a bug report but if you get your infamy high enough the pariah event starts a cascade where literally everyone in the game gets the event for pariahs and before you know it literally everyone has 200+ infamy

@kermit The great war CB has a weekly tick of +10 that keeps war exhaustion at 0. Basically a country has to lose very hard in order to accrue war exhaustion and force a surrender.
