@Chuckleberry Finn yes exactly. However after collecting stacks and stacks of playing cards to have well over 400+ for a game of blackjack, manually scrolling through all of those to flip each individual one took awhile....

Update: I found out what the issue was and it was just that random cards in the deck weren't flipped over. :steamfacepalm: Could there be a feature implemented to flip ALL cards either face up or face down?

This mod works well on MP, however with decks of cards we've often encountered an issue where the deck flips. Generally flipping cards over seems to work only when it wants to. What is causing this and what can we change on our server to avoid it?

That should clear up with time, it's a cool down. If there's a lot of desync this cooldown might be longer.

When we play with friend and i touch the any thing from game it's locked and i can't interract anymore. I just can't play, all i see is "lock". Can you help me figure out with it? "LOCK" symbol

If the mod is confirmed to be activated, sometimes the context menu doesn't appear. Should be placed on the floor or a different surface.

even if i place a board down on a table along with ALL of the pieces from the boxes, right clicking it wont let me play. click lock does nothing either, only cards work

Oh you mean in world... yeah, B42 introduced a new depth texture-- I'd have to look into how that works and mess with it. Might be as simple as messing with the model itself. Thanks for the heads up.

I've been searching for a while to see if anyone else has experienced the same issue, but I couldn’t find anything, so I’m starting to feel like I might be missing something obvious. I found the chess box and, after opening it and placing each piece where it belongs, the pieces end up appearing below the board, invisible or clipping through it. Everything else works fine, but it’s frustrating and breaks the immersion. Awesome mod, by the way, thanks for all the work! ❤️

We were in MP, locally hosted server (not dedicated) it happened about 5 times in a short period of time while trying to play chess (ended with 4 missing pawns and a board) Also i think at times it involved only one of us seeing certain pieces, before their eventual disappearance

I'm not sure how much ping he may have had atm, but I'll check his roughly average ping next time we play

Yes, it's quickly moving the item as the game doesn't let you move the in world object directly-- so I had it pick up and place instead. You can actually recreate this bug with some more effort using vanilla actions only.

There already is a cool down, if you're in single player though it is skipped.

I assume you were in MP. The cooldown may be too short or could also out of sync due to any lag.

Do you know how much ping the players had at the time? And what items were in use?

So it's a problem with the base game moving system that you're just leveraging for this mod? If so, oof.

Do you think you'd be able to implement a forced cooldown for moving pieces in your custom UI? That could be a reasonable workaround even if it wouldn't solve the core issue, like making it so after a piece is interacted with, it's locked for 1 second or however much you think is needed to be safe

Sorry, if pieces are disappearing between two players it's most likely a sync issue caused by high ping.

You can try to avoid moving the same pieces, or take your time moving things.

One of the recent updates changed the cooldowns to be more server centric, of your experience wasn't recent - try the mod out again.

If it's still an issue, then it's unfortunate not fixable on my end due to how desync prone moving items around can be.

Thank you, and technically you can play by yourself as long as the game is single player. Solitaire or Blackjack (sort of), things like that. The add-ons also add collectibles / trading card games.

I've always been interested in this mod, but mainly play singleplayer.
Especially since b42 is singleplayer only for the time being.

Are there any of the addons or base Game Night games that are playable as just one person?
Seems to me that this is a mod that only truly lives up to its potential with friends, but still wanted to ask since it was also available for b42.

Nontheless, impressive work as always, and an improvement of fun things to do in game.

Some of the older games could do it's some love (improvements). For monopoly the tooltips of the cards should contain the text for them.

Also the mod works fantastically in splitscreen, well, player one is in control of everything but that is TBE with PZ mods. Splitscreen is still janky without mods.

I'll be honest, I don't really plan to directly support split-screen. The UI would require another mod to support controller use. I believe Buryaga made a general controller support mod.

Optimization Update:
Due to how B41 and B42 handle their assets the initial update to B42 called for having a copy of everything per these two builds. This obviously doubled most mod's file size, but I realized one can load assets from B42's files in B41 if done correctly.

So, all GameNight mods have been spruced up to do so where-ever possible - the largest mods went from 500MB to 200MB, etc.

This method seems to be more stable and relevant to MP use cases. Let me know if the cool-down system hangs on some players again.
