Is it possible to be able to edit the mod so its able to work without the core mod? Is the core mod absolutely necessary or is there a lines in the sql or xml that I can change to make it work? Thank you in advanced.

Changing the mod dependency alone will let you load the mod but it wouldn't work as intended. Please use this version which I have now updated.

For anyone wondering why this mod cannot be enabled as of right now, one of the recent updates for Gaia's core mod changed it's mod ID which this mod references as a dependency. This would require an update from this mod author to fix, but in the meantime you can manually change the referenced mod ID in this mod by editing its .modinfo file in the mods folder and changing the mod ID that it references of Gaia's core mod to whatever the current mod ID of Gaia's core mod is, which you can find in that mods .modinfo file. Make sure to use notepad or notepad++ to be able to read the modinfo file.

cant enable mod even though i have the latest version of core mod. this is with it being a fresh install with all cache and user data deleted

I think three seperate Paradox game is a bit extreme
And certainly not the first games in their franchises

I adore the idea and execution behind this mod.
Shame that I don't use Gaia Core Mod... not yet anyway.

No Man's Sky, Dwarf Fortress, MineCraft, Descent: FreeSpace, Call of Duty, Total Annihilation, Command & Conquer (any of them), Crusader Kings, Europa Universalis, Hearts of Iron, Supreme Commander, Crysis.

I find your inclusion of Ocarina of Time rather than any of the other games a bit odd. If you can only have one, perhaps the first one or A Link to the Past would be best?

I think Kirby is a very import game historically, but I understand that many would rather have Sakurai represented by Smash Bros. Either way, he deserves to be featured as he has has a massive impact on the gaming industry.

You have SimCity but not City Skylines.

I would also recomend a Lego Star Wars game, the more recent Tunic, Untitled Goose Game was innovative particularly in its music, Mega Man X, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, Mario 64, a Fire Emblem game, the Sims, and a Star Fox game.

That mod is amazing. It's a really nice addition to the end game and the game selection is very varied. I can see that a lot of passion has been put into it.

Thanks for the feedback and for raising a valid concern. Tourism was already one of the fastest ways to victory, so we've taken this as an opportunity to re-balance Culture Victory more generally (in Core Mod). With the latest version it should be much more difficult to achieve Cultural Victory before building the Visitor Center and having researched Internet. What "Great Video Games" does is to provide players with an alternative path towards Culture Victory.

It's a very good mod. I appreciate the variety of games that's in it, it's clear a lot of thought went into the design. I think, though, that having five whole possible tourism generators to choose from (writers, artists, musicians, directors, and now designers) might get a little overtuned, so maybe in the future some kind of exclusivity or encouragement to focus on one or two at a time might be healthy. But that's a discussion for another time.

Great Directors and Great Works of Film are already implemented in Gaia's Core Mod, which this mod depends on, now all that's left is Comic Books!

I had a pretty similar idea with my Popular Culture mod idea, that I discussed in the civ fanatics forum and started implementing and stopped after I lost all the files, where I thought about Movies, Games and Comics. I like to see that idea being brought to life... ❤️
