For people who still have this mod on their playsets, I have a new mod which aims to reintroduce the content from the suggestions list on top of the landscape that Paradox sculpted in King of Kings and Winds of change. Not everything I built has been incorporated into it yet, but I hope to add what is appropriate over time. Feel free to check it out and I hope you enjoy it!

update please?
Mark Tercio 30. juni 2024 kl. 22:10
It´s compatible with ET?
Ckasaron 31. maj 2024 kl. 5:27
@RMS Oceanic I really love your mod series to expand ERE sensibly without artificial debuffs like what 1.36 KoK did. Do you plan to update your mod series to 1.37, and if at all possible either help make it compatible with Europa Expanded or make a standalone mission tree to pair with your mods?

I think the events placing Georgian Culture into the Byzantine group somewhat broke this mod.
Caridon 28. feb. 2024 kl. 1:51
There seems to be a bug in the mod now.
if you select conversion all the time. and you then complete the mission "Reconquer Bulgaria."
you get Bulgarian ass accepted culture and then immediately you trigger "Insincere Acceptance" for all provinces with Bulgarian culture.

this will then trigger every few months and continue to do this even if you convert all provinces with Bulgarian culture

could we change the mission so it detects your selection of acceptance or conversion. ?

@SaintJLeaf

This mod isn't updated for the new patch, so possibly
SaintJLeaf 7. dec. 2023 kl. 16:59
my game has been crashing could it be this lovely mod?
Chihiro Cyrille 17. nov. 2023 kl. 14:32
So hows update going?
Chihiro Cyrille 6. nov. 2023 kl. 12:50
take your time my dude :)
RMS Oceanic  [ophavsmand] 2. nov. 2023 kl. 7:58
Just so people who enjoy this mod are aware, I unfortunately am not in a position to update it for 1.36. Not only does 1.36's content steal this mod's thunder a little, but I'm in the process of updating my computer. Once I'm established and have experienced what 1.36 has to offer I'll see what can remain as future suggestions.

What is the compatibility of this mod? With overhauls?
Chihiro Cyrille 16. okt. 2023 kl. 16:03
Yeah do you have Event id for Syriac,Coptic and Tourkic events?
eskender9866 12. okt. 2023 kl. 19:23

cucumburger1115 10. sep. 2023 kl. 18:13
@RMS Oceanic Thanks.
RMS Oceanic  [ophavsmand] 10. sep. 2023 kl. 14:44
@wkdbgkswks Sure, as long as you keep a reference to the original mod.
cucumburger1115 10. sep. 2023 kl. 4:13
Very interesting mod, may I translate this mod into Korean please?
Ckasaron 27. aug. 2023 kl. 12:00
Very interesting mod here, I like the flexibility it gives.
Vergil118 1. aug. 2023 kl. 11:13
This is an outstanding mod! Please keep this collection going!
RMS Oceanic  [ophavsmand] 20. juli 2023 kl. 10:35
@Evareus Unfortunately I don't think so, this mod is built with the vanilla map and culture arrangement in mind.
Evareus 20. juli 2023 kl. 6:25
Hi, is this compatible with extended timeline?
RMS Oceanic  [ophavsmand] 18. juli 2023 kl. 4:01
@Mooto24 as long as you control all remaining South Slavic cultures and accept at least one of them, Slavonian should still spawn eventually.
Mooto24 17. juli 2023 kl. 18:01
sorry haha but I have got another question. For RP reasons, I converted all of Bulgaria to Greek but decided to accept the rest of the balkans. Am I still able to "hellenize" the remaining balkan cultures? I was looking at the mod files to check trigger requirements but I am not sure if I need to accept all the cultures or not.
Mooto24 17. juli 2023 kl. 13:09
@RMS Oceanic ah perfect, thanks for the response
RMS Oceanic  [ophavsmand] 17. juli 2023 kl. 11:39
@Motoo24 If I've done it right you need to own some Syrian development yourself to trigger the accept-or-convert event. You could hold onto the land until the event fires, or take the state with Jerusalem in it because it's Syrian.
Mooto24 17. juli 2023 kl. 11:37
Could I release Syria as a puppet to feed it back it's cores and still get the events about accepting syrians so they will become Syriac one day?
RMS Oceanic  [ophavsmand] 16. juli 2023 kl. 12:26
For the curious, how the cultures map in my emergent mechanics:

Turkish -> Tourkoi
South Slavic (Except Albanian) -> Slavonian
Albanian -> Albanian
Syrian -> Syriac
Mashriqi -> Assyrian
Egyptian -> Coptic

There's been a lot of discussion about this mod and the suggestions they represent, and I think that's great, as a one man show I could never assume to get it right or have a perfect proposal for how to handle. I'm working on a smaller mod right now after a short break, but when that comes out I may return to this mod and work on making parts of it clearer, and maybe changing some of the tensions between acceptance and conversion.
RMS Oceanic  [ophavsmand] 16. juli 2023 kl. 12:25
For Anatolia there's a tension in the conversion/acceptance path by deliberate choice, where you're either choosing to wholly embrace Turkish and leave the previous Hellenic cultures to languish, or you're promoting those cultures' restoration and antagonising the Turkish people. It's possible eventually to have your cake and eat it too, but ideally it would be after you've fully resolved the question of culture in Anatolia, after which you're free to do what you want.
RMS Oceanic  [ophavsmand] 16. juli 2023 kl. 12:25
@Notorious If you want to "collect" the cultures in the list ideally you want to accept their current cultures, as the conceit behind how I've designed the events is that through long acceptance of a culture entirely within your borders (Syrian for example), their exposure to the Byzantine culture will encourage a gradual shift to a Byzantine counterpart (Syriac in this case), though this doesn't automatically mean those cultures are now Hellenophones, my vision is that the Byzantine culture group can be just a little more nuanced than that. Albanian's an example of internally changing very little, as in this mod they just stop identifying with their Slavic neighbours and re-orient themselves to the Byzantine world. If you convert all of Syrian to Greek, you'll just have Greek provinces.
Pr0bablySauc3 14. juli 2023 kl. 14:03
there's a bug with one of these and Europa expanded, where the gov reforms don't really work, and the EE gov reform sorta bugs out. Idk how you'd fix it but maybe a notice? sorry idk this feels rude
TheDevilinSrx 14. juli 2023 kl. 4:13
What is the correct path to get the Tourkoi culture?
darthtalos 13. juli 2023 kl. 18:45
Is there a list of event trigger ID's, i must be doing somthing wrong
The Emperor's Gooner's 13. juli 2023 kl. 16:12
So just to confirm, is it better to accept or convert cultures if I want to see as many of the custom cultures you added in as possible?

Aka, if I convert the Balkans to Greek, will that eventually flip into Slavonic the same way cultures work in the Third Odyssey mod, or is it best to just accept the cultures and wait for the them to flip?

Also, if I choose the convert path, do events fire to slowly convert the provinces, or do I need to manually convert them to Greek first?

Regardless, very cool mod set, I like how they are all tailored to how Byzantium existed in the last century instead of how they were earlier. I'm looking forward to your mods developing in the future and having content for what a growing Byzantine state in 1600s speculative history might look like instead of the vanilla path of merely restoring ancient Roman Empire culture like nothing has changed in 1000 years.
RMS Oceanic  [ophavsmand] 12. juli 2023 kl. 2:38
@Pr0bablySauc3 Own all South Slavic provinces (excepting Albanian, it has a different destiny), have no separatism in any of them and accept at least one of them.
Pr0bablySauc3 11. juli 2023 kl. 13:19
How do you get the Slavonic culture?
ethanzm1 10. juli 2023 kl. 14:37
Could this mod work with Ante Bellum, or is a submod to make it compatible possible?
RMS Oceanic  [ophavsmand] 10. juli 2023 kl. 12:31
@Nola At the moment, no, my research (admittedly online research only, I don't have much access to books on 15th Century Anatolian Demographics) didn't really pick up on significant surviving Greek populations in that area that hadn't already been Turkified, so I didn't feel justified in adding it. If you have a citation that points out a major population in a province I haven't already accounted for, let me know.
Nola 10. juli 2023 kl. 11:35
Will central anatolia going to have their own greek culture? (ankara and the region between Pontus and cappadocia)

If not, is there a way to convert them more easily like the asia minor coast or cappadocia regions?
RMS Oceanic  [ophavsmand] 10. juli 2023 kl. 6:56
@Garius I know there are some provinces in the toe and heel of Italy that could have a similar discoverable Greek speaking culture I could incorporate like the Ionians/Cappadocians, so that may be a port of call if I do expand to Italy. In general any attempts to add culture to the Western Empire would likely be focused on a post-Restore-Rome event chain.
Garius 9. juli 2023 kl. 23:06
Is there any intent to add events for south Italy? Historically even during the Roman empire it was culturally Greek, the region even being called Magna Graeca, its in part why the Sicillians today are different from mainland Italians.
Also thanks for the heads up about the Bithynians.
sumguy 9. juli 2023 kl. 11:20
@RMS Oceanic oh okay, then
RMS Oceanic  [ophavsmand] 9. juli 2023 kl. 11:03
@sumguy Assyrian can only spawn in a Mashriqi province, but as long as you have at least one it should happen. Same for the other emergent cultures.
sumguy 9. juli 2023 kl. 9:24
@RMS Oceanis so uhh is it dynamic? Cuz I may have converted some mashriqis to kurdish...
RMS Oceanic  [ophavsmand] 9. juli 2023 kl. 8:30
@Imperator There is a very large MTTH for the culture to spawn, the intent was to try and model a gradual cultural shift.
☧ Imperator ☨ 9. juli 2023 kl. 5:37
I control both Syrian and Mashriqi cultures and have them accepted, however the Syriac and Assyrian cultures dont seem to be spawning? Am i doing something wrong? Thanks in advance
RMS Oceanic  [ophavsmand] 9. juli 2023 kl. 4:44
@NewYoung Let me know what's unclear or confusing, and I'll revise the opening events to give you a clearer idea of what happens in this mod.
RMS Oceanic  [ophavsmand] 9. juli 2023 kl. 4:43
@Garius There's no Bithynian culture in my mod, I've used Ionian as a condensation of Coastal Anatolian Greeks, while much of Ancient Bithynia is covered by the Pontus region. Cappadocian also represents what remnants there are of Phrygian or Isaurian culture, because the research I did suggested Phrygia and Isauria were pretty thoroughly Turkified by 1444. There are events that convert one Greek province for free, then make it easier to convert the rest of that state. Much later on the emergent cultures will spread at random radiating out from whichever province it began in.
RMS Oceanic  [ophavsmand] 9. juli 2023 kl. 4:39
@mcduke313 You need to control one other Ponitc province like Trebizond or one of the Crimean ones. Slavonian is a longterm emergence once you control all the South Slavic cultures and accepting at least one.
mcduke313 8. juli 2023 kl. 19:16
I'm not getting the Pontus event as Byzantium is it only for trebezond? Also how do you get Slavonian Culture to appear? is that from converting or accepting the Slavs?
Garius 8. juli 2023 kl. 17:27
Is there a way to restore the Bithynian Culture? There is the cultural slot, also are there events that convert provinces, or is it simple cheaper to manually convert
AlphaQmaster 7. juli 2023 kl. 15:32
please a compatch with 1356 mod
