I assume it's because the hemosage abilities spray hemo everywhere usually using your hemogen reserve. So it's hemogen that causes the nausea, and hemogen that you only get from humans (inc xenotypes).
(Presumably they got nausea because their buddy's insides just got sprayed all over them)

Hence, you control hemogen and only creatures that contain hemogen can be the target of those abilities. I guess those creatures should also be susceptible to said abilities too.

That would be my guess.

Is Word of Offering supposed to decrease rep with the faction of those you use it on? Whenever I use it, I get like -15 or -30 rep with a faction. Its pretty much just a hemo drain without the range.

Not sure if this is intended, Corpse explosion can only target humanlike corpse. I thought it'll work on animal corpse too, I mean, human are just monkeys right?

not shure is it bug, but if my paw learns any spell via psytrainer and he is not a sanguophage, he becomes undraftable...

I'm using this with Sanguophage Expanded and notice that it doesn't recognize if my sanguophage is using a different kind of hemogen. If you're using Bruxa, Ekkimian or Strigoi that uses non-human hemogens, you cannot use blood focus. It's worse for Ekkimians that exclusively feed on corpse hemogen. Even after consuming regular hemogen packs again and losing the "sang hemogen" hediff from my health menu, it claims I have 0% hemogen.

everything seems pretty balanced except bloodstorm, which I have found to be super overpowered. It lasts for forever and in combat it basically perma stuns and weakens (through malnutrition) all non vampires who are outside for the duration due to the vomiting. I have more than enough time to have two vampires tear through over a dozen raiders basically without any resistance. Asides from the combat use though it also has pretty dang good utility with it being able to be free hemogen refills for all your vamps.

The only downside is that you cant use your hemogenic people (which you dont need more than one or two people anyhow) and it doesn't work on mechanoids and animals.

Could you maybe make the vomiting happen way less often but have the blood effect give a percentage decrease in combat stats and such? I like it a lot and really want to use it but also it trivializes most raids.

I feel like the blood focus ability is a bit inconsistent? Sometimes it works fine and lasts for quite a bit, but other times it consumes just 3 ticks of hemogen and then stops

Does this also make Deathresting count as meditating if I take that focus? Or does the focus just make it so I should meditate in my deathrest chamber?

This mod was such a blast to play, love how you can just cripple entire groups of people and even stop them from running away from you, only wish you could somehow boost your melee speed or something to more complimnet the sanguophage

This tree is really good agaisnt any humanoid raids, you can put most raiders out of combat by causing intense vomiting. It's especially good on melee specialized vampires as a way to close the gap. 10/10 mod, I really recommand.

It’s called Crowd Control and can absolutely disable enemy raids, while also dealing substantial damage with damaging abilities it has. It’s definitely a more utility path and there’s nothing wrong with it. Not every path needs to be a ‘pew pew kill kill’

How well does this work with Altered Carbon where a sanguophage may stack skip and keep their psycast abilities in a new sleeve, so the new pawn keeps the psycasts but is no longer hemogenic?

@derenriche afaik it looks for "hemogenic", the gene that gives blood supply/need in the first place. Maybe Oskar can confirm.

Hi, I have a question for the bloodstorm ability. How does it determine what pawn counts as a sanguophage? Does it look for the deathrest gene or just by xenotypes? I want to create custom sanguophage using biotech genetics but I would still like them to count for bloodstorm purposes.
